  1. I packed underwear, pajamas, iPad, phone, charger, pillow, and teddy bear Did not need pj's as I was more comfortable in the hospital gown, but definitely glad I had it. Took toiletries but just used wet wipes. Pillows always seem to be a problem in hospitals so I'm glad I had mine. My room was super cold I wish I had brought my warm, comfy blanket. Not just for warmth but comfort and security as well.
  2. I have 18-20. Email me. Aquarius802000@yahoo.com

  8. I'm taking milk of magnesia to stay regular until I start taking a "normal" diet
  9. I gained 10 lbs after the surgery. A week post op I was back to pre surgery weight. I'm now (2weeks post op) down another 10

    Gas pain

I find lying on my left side helps or just pressure on the left side. I'm back at work already so when the pain gets bad I just close my door and lay on my chair with a pillow against my side and that provides some relief

    Gas pain

I've walked a lot. Even the hospital staff commented on how much I was doing. I'll talk to my surgeon and see heat he says

    Nausea and defeat

One of the nurses said the water makes the nausea worse. Maybe wait till you get the melds before pushing yourself
  16. M spending too much time checking the scale; every 5 minutes (ok not literally but at least 2 a day).
  17. I also have the celebrate chewable calcium PLUS 500 (cherry tart) for sale if anyone is interested. I have a bottle of apprx 80 left ( yes I've already opened it and used some) but I'd really like to switch to the gummies instead. Paid $42.00. Willing to let it go for $30 or your best offer.
  18. I just packed away at least 10 pairs of pants where do you live? (Combination of casual, dressy, and jeans)
  19. Called my nurse Practioner and she has yet to call me back. All communication has to go through her before it goes to the surgeon
  20. I'm ridiculously tired too. I went back to work today. In addition to the exhaustion I feel, the sharp stabbing pain on my left side caused me to leave early. My incision sites as well as abdomen have begun hurting. I called my nurse Practioner to ask for advice but she never called me back. My surgery was on the 21st. Right now all I feel is tired, gas pains and I feel like I look sick :-( it may be from my lack of protein. Trying really hard to get as much in as I can.
  21. I'm 5 days post op and am experiencing a bout of nausea. The doctor did not prescribe anything for it since I wasn't having a problem with it but what do you all take? I would call my doctor but it's 847pm and it's definitely not an emergency. Prior to surgery if I felted nauseated I would drink ginger ale, but that's not an option now. TIA. Faye
  22. The more I move/walk etc the worse the pain gets.
  23. Anyone else get the medic alert bracelet or plan to get one?
  24. I'd say ask your surgeon about their recommendation
