  1. This is amazingly informative! Thank you sooo much for sharing!
  2. Congratulations on your hard work!!! It sounds like it's really paying off To be honest, I can't wait to be able to just bend over and tie my shoes straight on instead of sideways or not at all!! Little things.....keep up the great work! I'll be on the losing bench as of this coming Tuesday the 13th. People like you inspire me!
  3. I got the same way! Started my 2 week liquid pre-op diet last week and my surgeon had me start my new vitamin regimen, mainly to get used to it, etc. I started getting nauseated with the extra meds and having just liquids didn't help any either! I started taking them with my protein shakes since that's the only substance I have had and it's helped some. I have also evened out the vitamins, multi and biotin with breakfast shake, calcium and iron with lunch shake, etc. so I wasn't filling my stomach with all of them at the same time. Hope this helps....
  4. Hi all! I'm dsaltz01. I've sent you invites, glad to have some friends on there for support!

  9. Hi all! Quick question: I started my pre-op 2 week liquid diet this Tuesday (just 3 days ago). I am getting all my calories, liquids and Protein in as required. My question is this: today I feel jittery but in a good way, lots of energy, almost high on it so to speak. Is this normal? Is it just from cleaning out all that junk food, sugar, etc. and I am coming back to normal/healthy? It's such a weird physical feeling lol! Is this how you felt? Thanks!!
  10. Good riddance to bad, evil, tempting habits! Well said Butterfly!
  11. Yay!! Happy 'birthday' to you! Sending you good health and a speedy recovery
  12. Wow congratulations!!! You are definitely an inspiration to me! I'm just starting my liquid pre-op diet today with surgery in two weeks. It will be nice to think of your success when/if I get discouraged with this sugar withdrawal. Way to Go!!!!
  13. Bonnie, is it 1000 mg or 1000 mcg of Biotin?
  14. My instructions say anything 100 degrees up is a sign to call the surgeon's office immediately!! Let us know please....
  15. Yay! Congratulations!! I just got my approval a week ago today and it's still setting in. I go from happy to frightened to depressed all in a few minutes. I hope it gets better closer to the day, I think it will. I'm dreading the two week liquid diet I have to start this Tuesday. Only protein drinks and liquids I could drink through a straw as well as sf popsicles. I'm worried about the bad withdrawal headaches, etc. But I am determined this is going to work and I am going to be a happier, healthier person post-op!!! Good luck to you!
  16. Thanks everyone! I sooooo appreciate all of your support and kind words of wisdom and experience! What a great group we have on here!!!
  17. Surgeon's office just called! I have officially been approved for surgery November 13th! I am so excited I'm jumping out of my skin! Have to start my two week pre-op diet this coming Tuesday so need to go shopping for groceries really soon...wow, it's really happening! How do/did you all handle all this bundle of emotions? Excited, scared, apprehensive, gotta now tell my immediate family (mom, sisters), what a whirlwind.....
  18. I JUST GOT THE CALL!!! Happy dancing all the way home today from work and then in to the night! It only took Cigna 5 working days to approve me and surgeon's office just called. 19. Hello everyone! I'm tentatively set for November 13th..Everything has been sent to the insurance company this week (Cigna) and they tell me usually two weeks for a reply. I have every bone in my body crossed hoping I get approved, pretty sure I will but as we all know, they hold the cards! Wish me luck.....

The surgeon is going to do a final review of my file today and submit to my insurance no later than Monday! Wow! This may actually become a reality, I'm sooooo excited! I have Cigna Insurance and the girl told me it can take up to two weeks for approval/decision but she has seen it come within a week. Please say a prayer and keep your fingers crossed for me to get that big YES! I may be scheduled as soon as November 6th (after approval and two week liquid diet)......Woo Hoo!!!
