  1. I found I can get way more wear out of skirts and dresses then pants, esp dress pants.
  2. Hello all! I bought the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury but I can't get past the taste in yogurt, crystal light etc. I was going to cook with it but it only says up to 140 degrees. Anyone try another unflavored that you can actually cook with?? Any help appreciated! Thanks.

    Does it feel the same?

I am just wondering, will it be any better with RNY? I hope so... You have had it really rough. With out complications you should be better with RNY. Will I be able to eat fruit, vegetables, and meat? Yes, I do all the time. Will I be able to eat Breakfast and lunch? Yes Or is tight in the morning like the band? Not tight just sometimes cranky. I was fine in the morning after about a month out Will I still feel that full AND starving at the same time feeling?? Not for a while. Early on you don't even want food. I am about 6 month out now and I can get that I am starving feeling. I now have to make sure I don't eat too much or too often.
  4. They do have fish selections and I would get them without the sauce incase they have sugar or a lot of fat in them. I know pretty early on I had the tortilla soup. Tell them no tortilla strips. It is mainly a little spicy chicken soup.
  5. Let's see... I found out that I have a neck and hip bones, who knew... The airplane ride last week was great. I was not sick before hand worrying if I would fit I still can't grasp I can wear a large. I have 10 bags of clothes for charity!!! I think I can wear sleeveless

    I need to go shopping!

Yes, it makes sense. I was used to hiding under my clothes but now I realize I 'feel' better in clothes that actually fit esp when the scale doesn't move for a while. Go buy yourself something nice and try on somethings you never would wear before. :-)

    Beef jerky?

Yep It is a life savor on the road when travel for work. I love the stuff. I look for the softer ones and just check the sugar. Some can be loaded others (even in the same brand) will be much better.

    pain sucks

I know everyone heals differently but you should be feeling a bit better by now. If it hurts pretty bad, you should call your Dr. Hope you feel better soon!

    Coffee

I do drink regular coffee (mild and pretty diluted for most people) but I have a pretty strong pouch. I drink water the rest of the day.

    How long was your surgery?

I know mine was less than two and was in recovery for a while before my room.

    Gas ex?

I still carry the chewables at 5 months. The strips don't work as well IMO. I also slept in the recliner for about two weeks with a heating pad. It was the greatest!

    Extreme gas after eating

I get it even now at 5 months. Usually after veggies or if I over do it on a bread type product. Gas X is my life saver and papaya enzymes. Make sure you eat slow and chew really well. This is my main problem. I need to stop and think when I eat.

When will i feel normal again?

Yes, I agree with Kasey. It took me a while too. I just hit the five month mark and I notice I don't have the stamina I use to for travel. If you can drink them, G2 (low calorie/low sugar) drinks help. I know I would have them periodically bit I only could do about 8 OZ at a time and I diluted them a bit with water. Propel and Vitiamin water zero help with electrolytes. I think I started to really feel normal at about the month mark.

    My Fitness Pal

Hi Guys! I am on MFP everyday and I had my surgery 11-19. I am turtleing along and I keep my diary open so you all can see me screw up lol. I'm worm2872 on there as well.

    Can I drink Muscle Milk?

Well, I think it is pretty high (for us post op) in sugar. I know some people can tolerate them but I can't after surgery. Most premade shakes even at 5 months post op do me in. However, I would try the samples you can order from bariatric pantry. This is how I found Syntrax nectar chocolate Truffle. It is what got me through post op and I still have one almost everyday. Also, the Syntrax Matrix Mint Cookie is good too.

    Still Nothing

Yep, perfectly normal. I think almost everyone hit some sort of a stall around the 2-3 week mark. Your poor body is adjusting to the hell you put it through. Just stay focused and everything will be just fine.
  19. You will be fine. If I can do it, you can too! I never had any surgeries and was fine. It will go really fast. :0)
  20. Also, our hormones are out of wack. I am sure that does not help. Just make sure your iron level is OK. I am always hot but lately if I get cold, I can't get warm. I wander around at night or sleep with a hot water bottle. It really does help esp when my hubby travels.
  21. The scale is driving me crazy.

  22. I just order what I want and take it home. I don't do the kids menu becuase it usually is to greasy for me. Life is not over. Just how we approach it. Good luck

    Honeymoon Stage?!?!?!?!?

I am only averaging about 2 per week and that has been since the second month. I am almost five months out and have only lost 61 pounds since surgery. We are all different. I never really had a 'honeymoon' stage.
  25. That's so funny! I took a pic yesterday and I told my husband that. LOOK I have a NECK! The sad part is I was not aware I lost it.
