    Show Of Hands (Part 2)

My favorite meal right now is my take on a French dip sandwich. I use 100% whole wheat flat bread (about a 1wide inch strip) put roast beef & skim mozzarella, wrap & dip in a low sodium au jus. It's healthy & comforting oh.... And easy! Something my kids will eat as well. Also love taco Soup. I use 3 to 4 different kinds of Beans and my moms home made canned tomatoes (perfect blend of spicy and yum!) It's packed with Protein and easy on the pouch. New Life Started 07/24/12

    I Have A Long Road

I had to lose 160. I'm now 2 months post op and have lost 40 lbs. I am exercising and eating right. I'm getting impatient, I want it to just fall off like I have seen others do. It's not cooperating. I'm not giving up, not by a long shot. We sure do have a long road but we have the tool that will make the ride easier. New Life Started 07/24/12

    Pcos?

I was on metformin for pcos. I had to stop taking it during my pre op diet because my blood sugar was going too low. I am now 2 months post op. I have had 2 periods, both were pretty bad cramp wise and bled longer and heavier. Hoping that diminishes. I have noticed a decrease in facial hair. As for birth control, my husband had vasectomy because I can't do pill, made me crazy. Ous isn't an option for me because of c section scarring and patch is a no go cuz I'm allergic to latex and adhesives. (im just a bundle of fun right, lol) I def have some awful mood swings. Period Concern

I have pcos which stands for poly cystic ovarian syndrome. It causes fertility issues. Before I was on meds for it I went 3 years without having a period. My ovaries hurt so bad and I couldn't get pregnant. Once I finally started treatment I got pregnant almost immediately. My periods have always been painful and full of clots but would only last 4 days. Since my surgery I don't have to take the meds but my periods are bad on steroids. New Life Started 07/24/12

    Period Concern

I have pcos. I'm 2 months post op & have had 2 periods. Starts off looking like old blood. Very heavy! Lots of clots, cramps to the point they push my tampon out (sorry if tmi) so painful (beginning labor anyone?) My period used to last 5 days tops. The 2 since surgery have been 7 & 9 days 5 of which were heavy flow each. New Life Started 07/24/12

    Life Is A Little Depressing

Try watching something like kitchen nightmares or a show that shows disgusting filthy kitchens. Then you will realize you're not really that hungry. I too still have days where I miss food and wish I could just pig out, especially this past week. I haven't lost anything. I never realized how strong of a hold food had on me till after my surgery. Little by little its getting easier. I still crave certain things but for the most part I hate food and dread eating cuz I don't wanna puke. New Life Started 07/24/12

    My Daughter Made Me Cry.

I also meant to add that Hannah used to flip the furniture and things like your son. She also bit me when she was almost 3 and she refused to let go. I was 7 months pregnant and was at a book store. She kept running off so I picked her up and had her on my hip. She bit me on the breast and wouldn't let go. I yelled it hurt so bad. I was bawling like a baby, right there in the middle of borders. It finally took my friend pushing hard on the bridge of her nose to get her to let go. I was hurt and embarrrassed, everyone was staring and Hannah started screaming, I had blood all over my shirt (still have a scar). It was awful. I thank God for the help she is receiving. On an upside to that awful biting incident. I guess the pushing up/ bak on her nose worked because that's the last time she bit anyone. New Life Started 07/24/12

    My Daughter Made Me Cry.

I wouldn't wish this behavior on anyone but its somehow comforting to know I'm not alone. So far we haven't found any rhyme or reason with Hannah. I guess some kids are just born this way. Hannah has thrown a fit so bad before that she literally knocked herself out banging her head on the floor. We were in wal mart at the time. She didn't injure herself luckily. My Daughter Made Me Cry.

She has no clue the picture bothered me the way it did. I have learned from the past not to show it. I'm pretty strict on actions/consequences. No tv, no outside play, no friends over etc.. she gets rewarded for good behavior, punished for bad. I've definitely got my work cut out for me. ADHD & Bipolar run in both mine and my husbands families very strongly. So far out of my 5 kids 3 have issues. 10 year old is ADHD, 7 y.o. you know about, 5 y.o. we are having her assessed for ADHD (pretty sure that's it) she's one wild kid and has zero regard for others personal boundaries to include total strangers. Twins, I'm praying and keeping my fingers crossed. I'm convinced its all the steroids and preservatives in our foods today. Another theory I have on Hannah (7 y.o.) is that she has these problems because her twin didn't live. I lost her twin @ 28 weeks. It never crossed my mind until I had Lilee & Rowan. It's like they have a gravitational pull towards each other. Maybe that bond being lost is why Hannah is so off kilter. New Life Started 07/24/12

    Show Of Hands

You could do broth, puree, solid, modified solid. It's hard to find broths that taste good but have decent sodium levels. New Life Started 07/24/12

    Hair Loss

The vitafusion ones I take have a disclaimer on the bottle stating that they contain no iron because they are gummy and might appeal to children. That's why I take iron separately. New Life Started 07/24/12

    My Daughter Made Me Cry.

My daughter would make a wonderful interrogator. It's like she has this radar that hones in on people's weak points. Then she targets them. She's wonderful at getting inside people's heads and making them squirm. I think she did it today because I was busy all weekend and didn't have time to play like I usually do. So, she retaliated in the only way she knows to hurt me. It is definitely an uphill battle that probably won't ever end. She's so manipulative and analytical. She's to the point that she's on a mental health waiver. That means that regardless of our income, the state gives her insurance so that she's guaranteed to get all the psych help she needs. She has group therapy before and after school, 4 days a week. Attendant care twice a week (a lady goes to class with her) then once a week (more if needed) a woman comes to the house to work with her. Then once a week she visits her counselor. She's a holy terror to my 10 & 5 year old daughters but she would give her life for the twins. The twins are 1 1/2. They are her babies, she would do anything for them. That bond is what gives me hope. I want to bawl every time I see the twins run to her and tackle her. It shows that even if she puts on a rough shell, she has a heart of pure gold under there. She didn't even get mad when they pooped on her. *sigh* thanks for letting me vent. New Life Started 07/24/12
