I would call and bypass the front desk people. Talk to your nurse, or even try to get in touch with your surgeon. If all else fails you might want to contact a patient advocate lawyer and see what they say. The squeakiest wheel gets the oil. Make yourself a pain in their butts. I know after my mom had her bypass (mine is Tuesday) we went to lunch together (spouses included) she was probably 5 weeks p.o.. Anyway, we all went to lunch together & my dad immediately started griping about having to pay full price for someone who eats less than an infant. Idk if they're stressed about money or if its just they feel akward eating normally around us now. When guys blow up, it usually has absolutely nothing to do with what they're ranting about. In the case above, my dad later apologized to her and admitted it had nothing to do with cost, it was that he is insecure because she's lost all this weight and now he feels insecure that she will want to leave him and that he feels fat and ugly. Tricare did the same thing to me. I ended up having to go to my pcp every month for 6 months. Pcp did a weight check, took a food diary, exercise log, list of symptoms etc.. & prescribed phentermine. All tricare wants is proof of failed weight loss attempts. So, I didn't take phentermine. I've taken it before and lost 30 lbs. Which I immediately gained back.
