  3. I had surgery 7/24/12 and still get pains from time to time. I would say the major pain lasted probably 4 weeks or so. Pain meds help!
  4. I have been taking pills since I got home from the surgery. I guess every doctor is different:( I wish you the best of luck with acupuncture! You will have to let us know how it goes after a few more sessions. I am curious.

  9. I agree, u should try probiotics. They work wonders.
  10. Well, get well soon. Tomorrow will be a better day:) if u r sick, I imagine the pound is water weight.

  13. Glad to hear you are doing well! Welcome to the loser's side.
  14. I wish u the best of luck. So sorry that you have to deal with this. Hopefully he will not get laid off. I can't imagine what this is doing to you emotionally. My thoughts and prayers are with u!
  15. I have heard some people freeze it into popsicles and it makes it easier to eat. Jay robb is a very good tasting brand. Otherwise, as long as you are getting in your clear liquids you will be fine.
  16. Every doc is different, but mine said under 10 grams per serving. He said no to reg gatorade, but g2 is ok.
  17. I think a lot of people stall around the 5-7 week mark. I know I did. Don't get to discouraged. You will lose more soon.
  18. Yes! Your body needs hydration right now more than ever. Keep the fluids going! I could only have clear liquids for the first 3-4 weeks. All docs are different though.
  19. My carbs are also all over the place, but generally under 30 grams per day. My doc said easy rule if thumb is no more than 10 grams total carbs per serving. I try my best.
  20. Congrats and good luck! See you on the other side:)
  21. Congrats on your loss! That is great:)
  22. Anytime. I started noticing loose skin 4 weeks out. Not bad, but enough for me to notice. I lost 40 lbs in 42 days though. And I didn't start the skin care until after the 4 weeks. The faster it comes off the more lose skin you will have. It also depends on your age. But definitely keep your skin hydrated. Someone I know swears by bath and body works true blue super rich body cream (shear butter). Said her Dr recommended it and she has not had any loose skin - she lost over 100 lbs. But i am sure any will be good as long as it doesn't have sulfates.
  23. Exfoliate with sea salt scrub, lotion (good lotion without sulfates), exercise and water! Haven't heard about compression clothing though.
  24. You look amazing! And so happy. Thanks for putting a face to all the great advice.
  25. Congrats to you both! I am jealous. Enjoy the day!
