It's all individualized, so it's too hard to tell. I took 2 weeks. The standard is 2 weeks to return especially if you have a low-key desk job

I've been eating it for the past 3 days and have not had a problem with it whatsoever....I don't know if I have a strong stomach or what but its been perfectly fine....that's why I wanted you guys opinion bc I'm a little freaked out on how well it's been for me!
Oh yay!! I might try it if you tolerate it well! Yum

Hi all. I had my surgery on Jan 16 and am currently one week post op. So far so good! The only issue I've noticed is I can consume anything cold. But down 10 lbs :-)A little back story. I'm 25 and was diagnosed with a hormonal disorder when I was 14. It's caused a lot if weight gain' date=' blood sugar problems, and infertility. I've always been athletic, played volleyball and was a runner most of my school years, but I was always the chunky one. After high school I got married and have been a nanny/homemaker. To no avail, my husband and I have not been able to conceive. So 120 lbs later and countless failed diets, except use routines, and fertility treatments, I am here.
I feel good about my decision. I'm hoping to get to know other RNYers and have a support system since my surgeons office is 4 hours away and I won't be able to make the support meetings.
I've read so many post and have so much respect for this outlet and the people who bare the souls on here! Hope to get to know y'all

Wouldnt it be unhealthy b/c of all the sodium? How does beef sit with your stomach that early out? I am 11 days postop but cant imagine eating something that heavy just yet!

Lovealways you're on the right track. Dont doubt yourself and don't allow your family to do it wither. You are doing better than me at getting the Water in' date=' but the key is listening to your body and not making yourself uncomfortable. I'm not fond of Water so I took the advice of several of you who posted about adding the crystal light[/quote']Thank you!!! Does blenderized Soup count as a meal? I know we cant drink water 30 mind after a meal!

I get paranoid. Real paranoid that I'm having TOO much Protein being only 11 days post-op. I am able to get in 65 grams of protein daily through the use of two 8oz Protein shakes, which literally take me the entire day and night to consume. I usually end up with close to or a little under 400 cals a day. My family is not reassuring and keeps saying "are you having too much?" I take the two 8oz Protein Shakes and split them into Two 4 oz servings per sitting.
I guess my biggest fear is getting in this much protein this early out and possibly stretching my brand new pouch with the liquid. It really boggles my mind. I just hope I'm not overdoing it. I get really REALLY full, but keep sipping b/c I know how important protein is =\

Thank you xYou're incredibly strong. I know how scary it is when complications happen. Hang in there.

When are y'all goin back to wk??Monday! I had two weeks off. I'm a social worker, so not much movement, but high stress. Just a bit concerned I'll forget to take care of myself first while caring for my clients.

I had both done too. I originally chose the sleeve because I didn't want to mess with absorption of nutrients and Vitamins. I haven't had children yet' date=' and I thought pregnancy would be better with the sleeve. Sadly, my sleeve was really messed up and could not be saved, so I was converted to bypass. At this point, I don't know which I would choose if I could all over again. I'm only 6 weeks out from surgery 2 and struggling a bit. And as far as weight loss- I mean I know I had serious complications which made nutrition next to impossible for 4 and a half months, but since August I'm down almost 100 lbs and only 18 lbs from my goal. I think you can be successful with the sleeve with extra effort.[/quote']What happened to your sleeve where it could not be saved?

So I woke up this morning with a TERRIBLE blotchy red rash all over my face. I had nothing different at all. I'm 11 days post-op. anyone experience this??

Good luck to those getting surgery soon!!

I started doing it Once A Week! One reason was because I didn't have a scale (just got one) and Only because if u do it daily for some they get Discouraged & Frustrated and they start have second thoughts! When they don't see the scale move down!! You don't want to do this to yourself!! It's up to you!! Just a thought!I agree with this! I will do it once a week. I see my sister do it like 3x a day, and that isn't good!

Syntrax double stuffed cookie...tastes like an oreo milkshake! Because of this heavenly shake, I am able to get in 60+ grams of Protein a day being only 11 days post-op! It tastes like COOKIES!! It's $35 can be found on Amazon, Vitamin Shoppe, etc. Add 8 oz skim plus to one scoop power, you get 35g of protein, 210 cals. UHHHMAZINGGG!

No more gas pain though! Just minor minor soreness

I'm 10 days out and just started sleeping on my sides last night
My pain and gas experience may have been different having 2 surgeries 2 days apart

I stayed 5 days (only b/c I had 2 surgerys) but stay an extra night if insurance pays for it and if you feel comfortable. It was nice having the reassurance and help from nurses, but when you get home, it's a little more different because you're more on your own. Hang in there; feel better![:)](https://s.bariatricpal.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png)
