  1. Hey everybody I haven't been on here on Months and I missed all of you guys! :) okay just a quick recap story about my WLS Journey. Well when I first started my highest weight was 299 when I got my surg it was Aug 15 2012 I waited so long to get my surg it too me 2 yrs to get it when I finally did I rejoyced! I had thee worst problems with insurance and motivation and depression and it was just a mess! Lol eventually it all got straighten out and I finally got the courage to actually go thru with the surg. Okay so I did Everything that my doc wanted me to do! He told me To loose weight in order for him to even touch me BOOM I did it! Now it wasn't a whole lot it was like 5 pounds or so but I still lost something! So I did that they wanted me to start a Vitamin BOOM I did that they wanted me to practice separating eating and drinking BOOM! Well that one took a long while to master but once I had the surg it was hella easy because u literally can't do both! Lol but anyway after my surg I kinda had probs because of the nausea and tolerance to some stuff but in time that settled too..in DEC '12 I think I was around 240 -30 ish ballpark jan it was like 220s and now it's FEB and I'm feeling GREAT and sexy and my scars don't hurt anymore (thank goodness) lol but I've honestly been a lil busy be and Camera Junkie! All I do is take pics now lmao Im so proud of myself for loosing these 80 pounds I'm currently at 215 or 19 one of those because my scale and the hospital scale is kinda different but either way I'm OUT OF THE 220s!!!!!!! Yay me!! I haven been this small since middle school! But the current goal weight is 160 right now hopefully bye summer I will reach it. I'm doin baby steps and making REALISTIC goals for myself and I really think that's key though but I'm not gonna make you read anymore because I'm rambling now lol but here my pics :)

  2. I've got this REALLY bad canker sore on my bottom lip on my top lip and on the outside lip. Now I'm familiar with cold sores and I'm CERTAIN this is not a cold sore!!!! I've been reading online that B12 6 2 & 3 deficiencies and also immune deficiencies play apart..is anybody else experiencing this too? I've had two this is my second one and it seem like this is the worse I've ever seen..I also have swollen gums and a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes..does anyone have any advice or have this happen to you? Plz I'm in soooooo much pain!!!! :'(

So my first weight in after a while my Start weight was 298 I think and the very last time I remember I checked my weight it was like 248.6 but today I checked it out of curiosity because I felt like I actually gained weight (idk why?) and it said.....*dramatic pause* 228.2 !!!!!!!! Oh my goodnesssss!!!! I literally haven't been this size since like middle school! I was in disbelief on the scale I swear I almost cried! I'm really proud of myself!!! :D


  4. I'm about 2 months out! Things are great I'm loosing a good amount and finally starting to feel normal again...but I'm having a bit of problem with loosing ALOT of my hair! I mean its not like it look like in Balding in the front or anything it's just today I washed and conditioned my hair and began to detangle it and like clusters were comming out!! I have to admit I am kinda used to it due to stress and things like that but now since I won't be getting the proper nutrition I need to know what can I do to slow this down or prevent it. I heard the Biotin was good have any of you guys used it and have u noticed a change? Are there extra Vitamins I need to take or what's going on with this whole thing? Oh and by the way previously before I washed it today I had a weave in my hair for about 1 1/2 it was both a glue and sew in. It does pull my hair but never like this! I need help!!!!!!

  5. My mom made a Turkey n cheese Sandwhich on wheat toast. I was curious to see what would happen if I took a very small bite so I did I poured myself some oj and took the smallest sip ever BAD IDEA!! When I say the dumping syndrome is real it s REAL!!! I thought because I haven't had it yet I wasent gonna get it. Yea that's SO not true. Eating and drink together is totally a NO NO! It's either one or the other. Point blank flat out there is not eating and then washing it down with a glass of whatever there's either eating or drink but NEVER EVER EVERRRR TOGETHER! You will regret it lol trust me. I have learned my lesson just now as we speak. I really feel horrible and stupid. Smh at my self. :(


  6. I'm sitting here with my uncle watching Man Vs food (love that show btw) and all I keep thinking is what I would do to that pulled pork sandwich if I had just a moment alone with it! Lmfao seriously and what makes it bad is that they show you it in slow motion which is funny because my mind is already in slow motion when I see food I can't have yet. This show and many other shows have been food porn for me every time I see the burger, hotdogs, chicken etc my mental mouth waters!!!! And I mentally crave the delicious sin the television shows. This sounds kinda bad only being 9 days out but hey I can Honestly say I haven't cheated *clears throat* (yet) lol but watching cant hurt ..right? I can't lie I really do miss eating I don't plan to fall back in old habits I literally and physically can't anymore my pouch won't let me do anything I'm not supposed to lol.

    No-Noodle Lasagna This recipe is suitable for the pureed food stage.

    Ingredients: Low fat ricotta cheese

    Spaghetti sauce (look for sugar free sauce)

    Grated parmesan cheese

    Directions: Put two tablespoons of ricotta cheese in a bowl. Top with one tablespoon of spaghetti sauce and one tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese. Microwave for three minutes.

    Variation: One you progress to the soft stage' date=' you can add cooked ground beef to the lasagna if you like.

    Refried Bean Delight

    This recipe is suitable for both the pureed stage and the soft stage.

    Ingredients: Fat free refried Beans

    Salsa

    Shredded cheddar cheese

    Directions:

    Put two tablespoons of refried Beans in a bowl. Top with one teaspoon of salsa and one tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese. Microwave for three minutes.

    Cheese and Veggie Casserole

    This is suitable for the soft stage, but not for the pureed stage.

    Ingredients:

    Two cups of cottage cheese

    Half cup of shredded cheese (whichever type of cheese you prefer - I like it with grated parmesan)

    wo eggs (or the equivalent of Egg Beaters)

    One bag of frozen vegetables (broccoli is good, or broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots)

    Directions: Mix all ingredients in a casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

    One cup equals one serving, although you may need to eat less than that, depending on how much food fills you up at this stage.

    Tomato Crab Soup

    Ingredients *

    3 cups tomato juice *

    12 ounces evaporated milk *

    1-2 small onions *

    ½ teaspoon basil *

    1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes *

    3 tablespoons flour *

    ¼ teaspoon old bay seasoning *

    3 tablespoons olive oil *

    ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce *

    1 teaspoon Splenda sweetener *

    10 ounces lump crab meat *

    ¼ teaspoon thyme *

    1 clove garlic *

    Salt and pepper - as per taste

    Directions

    Chop onion and garlic into fine pieces. Heat olive oil in a deep bottomed cooking pan and fry the onion and garlic for 8-10 minutes. When they become transparent, put in the flour and stir for a minute or two. Pour in the milk, tomato juice, red pepper flakes, sweetener, thyme, basil, salt, pepper and old bay seasoning and continue to stir. Cook in a high to medium flame. When the mixture starts boiling, turn the flame to low. Simmer for at least 15 minutes, but do not forget to stir in between. Stir in the crab meat and switch off the flame.

  9. Just reading you saying your "wow " moment somehow really motivates me and makes me smile. It is a slow process and tomorrow makes my 5th month of 7 insurance required weigh in.

  10. I had a doc appt today and usually I'm dreading gettin on the scale but today I was so anxious just to see how much I lost. My Starting weight was 293 and when I went on the scale today it said 273!!!! WOW like wow. I'm very excited and proud of myself I finally see the improvement and everybody sees it too especially my mom se says she sees it in my face alot. So I'm guessing I'm doin something right! I do have a problem getting my Protein in thou but each day it gets better with that I just brought some chobani and some drinks that will last me till Monday which is my first appt with my doc since the surg. And that's my last day of my liquid diet too yay! Thank god lmao! But yea just wanted to update you guys! Ttyl loves <3


  11. I do walk around the house and do my laps I walk around about 10 times twice a day it's not much but it is a start. My pee is dark but I don't have problem going or anything like that. I haven't got any Protein in today but I made some protein pops ( in the making as we speak) for later as dinner I made them with the carnation instant Breakfast and used 4oz cups. I know I'm forgetting some things because I desperately need a nap lol

I need help you guys I feel like I'm loosing my way and doin everything just WRONG!! my nose keeps running and I know thats a sign of dehydration but how can I be dehydrated when all I do is drink and drink and drink? I can only get 2oz in right now so idk how I'm supposed to get everything in I need or idk if I am? I think I have a stomach virus or the flu with the way I feel. I had both before and I can tell by the way the burp taste it's one or the other :/ then to top it I have cramps! I swear I'm goin crazy! with the lightheadedness and dizzy spells idk what I'm doing? I need ADVICE or a mentor or something plz help!!!!!!!


  13. I do believe that hell week in an Understatement!!! This has been the suckiest week ever! Lol I'm so tired of feeling like this already maby today just really sucked and tomorrow will be better but I'm so light headed sometimes and then it's like I'm afraid to fall asleep now because I think I may have took too much Oxycodone and it had me high I think and made my heart beat really fast and now every time I go to bed I get weird heart beats which I can feel..wtf? I never had this problem before..I am NOT feeling the heart beat thing everytime I lay down. Not cool man. People keep saying I'm dehydrated this can't be true my mouth always has something liquid related in it! These dizzy spells and heart flutters suck! And my belly hurts and then to top it I can't eat!! I am going though somethings right now and my bf and family just better stay outta my way because unless there ass is bringing me a Protein Shake that taste like a liquid cheesestake everybody can go to hell today !!!! Lmao
