  1. I knew it was going to happen. She has become completely jealous and resentful of my surgery. She's looked down upon me and always points out the negative side effects. Today we totally had it out and got into it. She said hurtful mean things and we both agreed we aren't going to be able to get past it. She thinks I can just do whatever, not workout and the weight will fall off, while she has to work at it. I told her I'm working my ass off working out and I could gain it back without diet and exercise and she said the "purpose" of the surgery is to lose weight without doing any of that. I was shocked and asked her if she really believed that. This was her response.... "But it is so different. U don't have to. If u never worked out u would still lose weight, that's the purpose of the surgery" So I said "Absolutely 100% not true. At my first meeting they say you will lose in the first year, but gain it back without proper diet and exercise. The purpose of the surgery is not to be able to lose weight without working out. Is that really what you think?" And her response was this, " Yes. The purpose of the surgery is to lose weight. Otherwise why wouldn't a person just learn a proper diet and exercise to lose weight?" I'm done. I've been having this argument for the last year with her and I'm so sick of defending my decision. It's not even like she's concerned about my health....it's all about her own insecurities. Sorry to vent. Just so hurt and annoyed and pissed off at the same time.
  2. Congrats! You look way smaller than that too! I wouldn't guessed 160!
  3. Right before I had my surgery a good friend of mine asked what my goal size was, and I told her a 10. The day I came home from surgery, she came over and had bought me a pair of jeans from Victoria's Secret in size 10. I remember looking at them thinking, "wow, I will never fit in these tiny things". I wore them today
  4. I have the Fitbit One. I had the Ultra since last year and just last week switched to the One. I absolutely love it.
  5. You look stunning! So young!
  6. So all of a sudden I feel like I've been able to eat more. In the last 3 weeks I'd say. I know it's more important to count protein/watch carbs, but I'm curious....how many calories & carbs are you guys eating a day? I feel like I'm between 900-1200. I feel like that's too many.
  7. Starting weight: 249 Surgery weight: 233 Last week's weight: 155 Today's weight: 153
  8. Went and bought some smaller clothes today. I was a 22 pants and 2-3x shirts pre-op. I still find myself gravitating towards styles for big girls. Well today I bought a shirt in a medium and size 12 jeans. And I looked good! Check out my shoulders! Who knew I even had any?
  9. I searched all over the pace for those ring guard things. Finally found them at Claire's in the mall! Super cheap and a quick fix!
  10. Starting weight: 249 Surgery weight: 233 Last week's weight: 156 Today's weight: 155
  11. Mine is awful. As a hairstylist myself it freaks me out because its more than I've ever seen any of my clients lose. I have thick hair to begin with, so I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, But it's all at the scalp that I notice it. This handful is after one shower.
  12. I've been on and off antidepressants for years and years. After losing all this weight (almost 100 lbs) I feel so much happier and feel Im ready. I e gone of of Zoloft and Paxil before, both with horrible, horrible withdrawals. I am currently on 60mg of Cymbalta and under the Dr's care I'm reducing my intake to 30mg a day for a few weeks, and then 20, and so on. This is day 3 and I already feel crappy. Sad, down, dizzy, brain zaps, exhausted, and I'd say worse of all....HUNGRY! Has anyone done this after surgery? I am wondering if I should wait until Im further out. I'm lost.
  13. Yes, my good friend basically doesn't want to hear anything about my weight loss. And that sucks because last year she lost 40 pounds and I encouraged her the entire time.
  14. So I've been hearing/reading that this is the "new" protein and supposed to be good for you. Any opinions?
  15. I am 7 pounds away from my goal, which is to have lost 100 pounds.
  16. Have you seen the infomercial for "Squeezy Freezy"? I need to get one for this reason!
  17. Thank you! You're doing great also!
  18. Starting weight: 249 Surgery weight: 233 Last week: 159 Today: 156
  19. Today is a good news/bad news kind of day. The good news is I weighed myself and I only have 10 pounds left to my goal! Bad news is I've been out if my ulcers meds for the last 2 days and I've literally thrown up everything I've eaten. I was hoping my ulcer had healed. I guess not. On my way to pick on the Rx now...
  20. Starting weight: 249 Surgery weight: 233 Last week: 161 Today's weight: 159
  21. Ok that makes sense. I got cleared to a normal diet last week so I haven't been concentrating on dense foods as much. Thanks!
