  1. He's 6 yrs old. In pretty good health. Tail was previously broken nd didn't heal properly so it's curled. . Has an ear infection which I have antibiotics for. I got him all his shots. I despise ppl that mistreat animals. I'm glad he's mine cuz he's a sweetheart.

  3. RNY is covered by Medicaid in New Jersey as well.
  4. I can understand food sitting in your pouch, but how does the food get stuck in your throat? Is your throat or pathway to your pouch smaller?
  5. Thanks every1! @BBdoodle, the letter was great. My doc's office appreciated it a lot!
  6. I'm finished all my pre-op testing and all I need to do I collect all the clearance letters and take them to the surgeon's office to be submitted to insurance. My ins requires no diet or weightloss prior to surgery so unfortunately I haven't exercised one bit. However, I did lose 17 lbs by just replacing all sodas and juice with water. Today, my husband woke me up and told me he found a puppy! He is the cutest, little (albeit dirty) Maltese (I think) Having him inspired me to go for the first walk I've taken in over 6 months. Usually walking a block tires me out but lo and behold 45 mins later, we were still walking and I feel tired but great! Will post pics after I've taken him to the groomer and get his vaccinations. I feel like I have a walking partner now and a reason to walk! It may not seem like a big deal but I just wanted to share. Thanks for reading!
  7. Looking good sis!
  8. I hate my cpap. Im utterly exhausted when I wake up. My eyes are dry, my mouth is like sandpaper and I have a massive headache. And I think the pressure is too high, it's at 16.
  9. Thanks for the advice. Just woke about 30 mins ago and I feel like crap. Nose is running and throat feels like sandpaper. Feel like I need a nap even tho I just woke up.
  10. CONGRATS!! And welcome!!
  11. Congrats. My eval was weird but easy, just a bunch of questions. Like you, I'm at the end of should I say, beginning of my RNY journey! 2 more weeks til I submit paperwork for approval! GOOD LUCK!!
  12. Hey guys! Just got my cpap thursday and I hate it!! It's preset to 16 which can't be changed by me and it has a ramp button which starts it at 4 and increases to 16 in 45 mins. If I'm awake when it hits 16 I can't take it. I can't breathe, it leaks when I move, my lips are chapped, it's cold, my eyes hurt, I have a headache and I'm exhausted from waking up every hour :-( For the past year or so I can't sleep at night (I sleep from about 2-3am to 7-8am) I sleep really good in the daytime. I want to change my sleeping pattern but idk how. Any suggestions as far as the cpap as well as changing my sleeping patterns?
  13. Yes I understand. I don't wanna get under 200lbs and I'm afraid to get too skinny.
  14. I'm late but WELCOME ladies!!
  15. I'm not a jw but my parents are and I was raised in the religion and still hold strong to some of the beliefs, including no blood. I think any surgeon should respect your wishes and should have some sort of document for you to sign explaining your wishes and also so he won't be held liable.
  16. Welcome to the group!
  17. Had my sleep study last night and omg I hated it. I thought I had no problems previously with sleep apnea but lo and behold, was told I stopped breathing 49 times for 15+ seconds! And the pressure had to be on 14! I'm shocked but thankful that I'm aware of it now. Could this be the reason that when I wake up everyday that I'm exhausted as if I never even slept? And does this effect potential surgery? I have about 4 more weeks til I can submit ins approval.
  18. Hi! Welcome!
