  1. Lol! Yeah! The pill did not work for me :-( Monday I'll be 9 weeks post op and Tuesday I'll be 8 weeks pregnant. I was told for 13 years that the only way to "probably" have another baby would be ivf. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:291
  2. Try core power Protein shakes. I've tried a few and this is the best one for me. It's kinda pricey tho. You can find them on amazon. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:291
  3. I thought it was funny that in my room post op I was given soda, ginger ale. And yes, I drank it. Lol SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:291
  4. A cup of steamed broccoli with about 1/4c of mashed potatoes mixed in. Me and protein are not getting along today and this baby is making me very nauseous today :-( I have thrown up almost every vitamin I've taken today...not happy today SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:291
  5. Kids are strong! I have a 13 year old son and he started cooking after I had the surgery. He went grocery shopping and did laundry as well. I had open bypass so I was out of commission for a while. He's so proud of me, especially the fact that I quit smoking on the day of surgery and I no longer drink. He's my best friend even though I think he's jealous that he's not going to be the only child later on this year. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:291
  6. Congrats!! SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:291
  7. Don't freak out. It happens. Even in the beginning, I would stall for 3 or 4 days, then wake up 4 pounds lighter the 5th day. It's normal and don't worry. The weight will come off. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:291
  8. Also core power Protein drinks are my Fav now. They're kinda expensive at about $3 a piece but no chalky or gritty texture or aftertaste. I buy mine off of amazon. Read the reviews as well. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:291
  9. For me, it was kinda thick (maybe because the Water was too hot) and its kinda salty. I didn't really care for it SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:291
  10. Mostly fruit tonight. Diced pears and mandarin oranges in 100% fruit juice. Would these count toward my liquid intake? SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:293
  11. I was told that the pouch is like a funnel with a 1/4 inch opening at the bottom so liquids basically drain out as we drink them. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:293
  12. Since the surgery my dog thinks he's in heaven. He gets all of my leftovers. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:293
  13. Monday made 8 weeks post op for me and I've lost 45 pounds. Doc said that's normal. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:293
  14. Jamaican curry chicken, rice & peas, cabbage and sweet plantains. Took a little of each to equal about a cup total food. Ate 1/2 and I'm stuffed. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:293
  15. About 2 oz of a t-bone. I'm still full after 2 hours. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:293
  16. Awesome!!! I finally reached the 200's about 2 weeks ago and like you, it's been since 2008 since I've been there! Keep up the excellent work! SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:293
  17. 2 Jamaican oxtails with about 3 spoonfuls of rice, Beans, cabbage and sweet plantains. Does anyone notice that even though certain food may not be spicy to the palate, it feels spicy or burning in your esophagus and pouch? SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:293
  18. You look awesome!! SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:293
