Am i losing weight fast enough?

I'm exactly 8 weeks today post op and have lost 43 lbs and if you include pre op a total 59 lbs. I just feel like when I look at everyone's weight loss it just isn't a lot.

You lost 43 pounds in 8 weeks. Your body isn't like anyone else's and therefor you can't judge by them. :). When else have you been successful in losing 59 pounds in a little over 2 months? I think you're doing STELLAR. Keep up the awesome work.

I have not had my bypass yet and I have seen people lose weight quickly and slowly. It seems to be good if you are losing about 20 lbs per month. You don't see a lot of people lose more than 100 lbs in the first six months. Seems like you are on track according to what I've been seeing.

I was told to expect 2-4 pounds a week, you're at about 5 1/2 per week....that's almost a pound a day which is pretty freaking fabulous!!!!

Monday made 8 weeks post op for me and I've lost 45 pounds. Doc said that's normal.

Thanks girlies. I appreciate the words of encouragement. I just didn't think of it that way.
