  1. I finally made it out of the 200s and I am ecstatic! I can't believe I am more than halfway to my goal. 50 pounds to go! Never thought I'd see this day; the hard work and determination is completely worth. I attached a picture of me the day I came home fro.surgery ( didn't include my face..I looked like death!) The other is now, 72 pounds thinner!

  2. I am 5 months out and I've lost 70 pounds. I'm feeling great and have 40 pounds left to meet my goal. I am getting bored with the gym and I'm looking for something different to do at home. My husband and I are moving to a house outside the city so gyms won't be as accessible. Weight loss is much slower now so I need something to kickstart..anyone have suggestions for getting those last pounds off?

  3. The other day my husband politely offered me a mint after we had grabbed a bite to eat while out shopping. He said he has noticed that shortly after I eat my breath sometimes has a smell to it. I am almost 5 months post op. Has anyone else experienced this? I never had this problem before and I brush my teeth 2-3 times daily.

  4. Surgery on 7/7

    Start weight : 272

    Current Weight : 210

I've lost 62 pounds and could not be happier! Sometimes I wish it was more but then I tell myself 62 pounds in 4 months is amazing. I can't remember the last time I weighed that much. My goal is 150 pounds. I'm working as hard as I can on the belly fat...it just doesn't want to leave! Haha Most of my weight came off in my upper body. My shoulders and waist are small but my lower belly just won't budge. I too have to wear 1 size bigger to accomodate the belly. I've started the Insanity program and I hope all this cardio blasts my belly! Good luck on the rest of your journey...we have long roads ahead of us!

  5. Wow! Great to see some NC folks. I live in High Point and work in Cleveland...very close to Salisbury. I didn't know what a pig pickin was either until I was in the South a few years (originally from PA). I'm actually attending one in two weeks, here is to staying strong and making good choices!
