    Immitation Crab Meat

I love the stuff lol! Jenneliza turned me on to the canned crab meat it's usually by the tuna and it is amazing as well! You can make crab cakes or whatever with it but I just mix it with a little mayo and yumm! Surgiversary 07/24/12 Sent from my iPhone.

    Ahh A Great Dinner!

Mr pouchy loves them. No diarrhea or dumping yet. I'm fact Bms normal formed. It is a little weird hearing how other people's surgeons say no to have some of this stuff and I wonder if mine is having me do something I shouldn't . I just want to be successful and make this work but get scared when I see people surprised at what I eatting. I have a post op apt on the 10th and will bring up some of these concerns and see what's said. I know that every pouch and every surgeon is different. For instance week 5 I am supposed to be eatting more Fiber rich cereals, oatmeal and pretty normal diet to include deli meats and from the sounds of it others may be waiting forever to get into some of that. I guess thru my research it's exactly what Lori posted, as long as its low fat, no sugar and low calorie and I tolerate it well then it is a sustainable eatting habit for long term weight loss and maintenance. I hope the rest of you are doing well!!

    Ahh A Great Dinner!

My surgeon said potatoes are a great option but no rice or other starchy foods though. And I said I ate it over almost 3 meal periods silly that's 3 hours . I can't get it 6 times a day so I shoot for 4. 30 lbs down and counting I move on to Cheerios and the like next week. Just softer foods. It's funny how each surgeon and dietician are different lol.
  8. Sorry I have been as active on the boards as of late. 2 weeks out post op laparoscopic And I feel amazing!!! I have started walking at night and it is amazing how good I feel! I am up to 4-6 blocks without poopong out! Eatting has been great! My surgeon wants me to get in 6 - 1/4 cup servings of purée a day and then of course the Fluid like crazy. I don't get 6 in but I do get 4-5 in. I have so much energy it's not even funny! Yesterday I swept mopped and vacuumed, did 3 loads of laundry and the dishes. Had to take a small breather and eat some tuna after but felt good! I don't have the stinky poop problem that I am hearing and have had very normal Bms the past 4 days. My routine I think helps allot. I wake up and have some cottage cheese. 30 minutes later a cup of hot decaf green tea with my Vitamins and Prilosec. Then I drink my Protein shake 8 oz fat free milk with one scoop of 24g protein mix. Then it's lunch time 30 min after I finish shake I go for some Tuna or chicken salad on a club cracker ( I soak them in the mix do they melt in your mouth). More liquids 30 min after that and you get the idea! Mashed potatoes with puréed turkey thrown in is my fav!! I am still losing weight at an insane rate and can already got into stuff that has been tight forever! Hang in there everyone! Every pouch and body is different. U can have the you that you want to be! Just persevere! Thanks everyone for the support and especially DLC for the advice and protein list and Jenneliza for the great recipes!

    Sex

. . . I did a multiple position 1 hour fun fest and 6 days out. But I must say, you will want to flop over and sleep for a week after! After I had some salmon and mashed potatoes and skipped my walk
  10. I personally use optimum gold standard whey Protein. There are a few things to remember on protein. 1. You want whey protein isolate as number 1 ingredient. 2. Whey protein concentrat is ok. 3. Low calorie, high protein, low filler and good taste. Remember the rule of weight loss surgery u have to be able to sustain it log term or it's not a viable option. I too am not a milk drinker but the mocha Cappuccino and double chocolate are my favorite! I freeze them for 1 hour and it makes almost a milkshake yuuummm Invest in a good shaker cup! I absolutely love my spider bottle! They sell this and the optimum gold at GNC. Get 2 bottles So u can have one at work and one at home. Remember that your hydrating when you drink your shakes so add them into your liquid part of your daily routine. Finally non fat milk adds 8.8 grams of protein per cup

    2 Weeks Out Update

Hang in there!!! This is me getting ready for the world this morning, wearing the EMS world expo shirt that I have never wore in public because it didn't fit
  16. This is another case of each surgeon being different. I am supposed to eat 1/4 cup 6 times daily and am only 2 weeks out.
  17. Ok here's the scoop, I am still on clear liquid I can start some norm puréed tomarrow but every night I wake up soaked, I'm not talking a little sweaty I mean bed is visibly wet and I have to dry myself off with a Towel. If u have seen a pt who is having the big one MI and its dripping off his face that's me every night. 2 or 3 times a night I am awakened to this. During the day, it's just hot flashes where I start dripping. So anyone else had this? Don't want to call and bug surgeon if it's nothing lol.

    Crying All The Time

I had a little bout myself. Honestly I have been trying to help out with stuff by living. What I mean is I went out to Breakfast and had some fat free cottage cheese and a cup of decaf tea. I made a sugar free cheesecake for some friends and while they had some cheesecake with cherrie topping I had some of the fake cheesecake that jenneliza posted. Just remember life goes on without the food. Just remember to have your old friends around if u want! U may not eat the cheesecake u make but u can enjoy the friends and the company. Also remember that your body is changing rapidly!!! You will be ok just try to relax and breath.

    Skinny Fantasies?!

I think about it and I'm a guy lol. Of course being a guy it usually leads to sex and positions and endurance but I still wanna look good! I wouldn't mind a woman being nice to me because she thinks im hot vs just having to be nice. Not too much attention but a little would be nice. I tell ya what I fantasize about, being able to drive a versa or focus and not take up the entire front
  20. Update: after finally eating some puréed food the night sweats stopped! I am getting 60g of protein in a day atm working on increasing to closer to 100
