Oddly the pain for me was just below my sternum and was by far te worst pain I have felt. Handled a broken ankle like a boss but this, ooofta resolved after about 3 days Surgiversary 07/24/12 Sent from my iPhone.

Scar tissue can develop and will feel like a hard mass. I massage mine with Vitamin E. the massage loosens the tissue and prevents adhesion and the vitamin e is great for helping reduce Apperance of scars. As long as it is not growing, does not hurt, has no change in color etc it is likely scar tissue. Something to bring up though Surgiversary 07/24/12 Sent from my iPhone.

I too was set on the sleeve but most insurance companies do not cover it :/. I liked the idea of a surgery that had almost same weight loss but that was not map absorptive. If you do the research sleeve and bypass are within 10% of weight loss numbers however it's usually a little slower. Rny has more research and thus insurance is more likely to cover it. Just had my doc do a BUN and CREATININE and then a lipid panel and great news!! Not really dehydrated and best part........ I'm off my Lipitor!!!!! LDL down from 164 to 104 and total cholesterol down to 150! Thank goodness I pulled myself off Bp meds cus that is now steady with consistent reads in the 122/76 range! Sweeeeeeeeeeetnessssss! Depends how far out you are but here is my rule of thumb. I take one swallow every 15-20 seconds. Going thru a cup in about 45 minutes depending. 8 fl oz usually takes me a bit but every surgeons rules are different Surgiversary 07/24/12 Sent from my iPhone.

So, I get a call for a motorcycle accident yesterday. We got on scene and it was down this hill anyway, to make a log story short I carried my pt up this hill on a backboard, I did all my cares and when I got back I went up the 5 flights of stairs to get to our sleeping quarters and nothing hurt! Not my knees nothing!! Best of all I could speak in full sentences at the wreck after carrying this pt and at the top of the stairs!! I ant leave out the funny, so at the top of the hill, my freaking belt buckle popped out of the hole and I looked like a punk kid with my pants down to almost the bottom of my ass while I stand bow legged holding the gurney trying to get it into the back of the ambulance! Anyway, this was huge for me because I am already seeing positive changes for a better me for myself and the communities I serve. Just needed to share this because for me, this was huge.
