  1. Sorry It will pass...when I had my first surgery, I couldn't eat well for over 2 months. Maybe you should give your doc a call.
  2. Hey Samantha! You really shouldn't go without eating. You should at least try to get some protein in. you dont want to get weak. I hope you feel better.
  3. You might have a new problem at the prison...the "hey sexy" comments! lol
  4. Wow! Congrats on all your accomplishments! and welcome
  5. Yaaay! Dont forget to WALK! Feel better soon!
  6. You look awesome in that bikini! It's so cute!
  7. I too wonder why surgeons have such different time tables for the food. When I had my VSG my surgeon had me on Clear liquids for 2 days then he said it was ok to eat pureed food on the 3rd!! My stomach didnt like that so much. My new surgeon will have me on a clear liquid/protein drink diet for 2 weeks after surgery. Go with your gut, LITERALLY! lol Eat according to how the food makes you feel. Everyone is different and heals differently your tummy just isn't ready. And if you are worried about getting the Protein, try adding unflavored Protein powder in your food. GNC sell one online that you can actually cook with called anywhey.
  8. Comments like that suck!! I get them a lot from my size ZERO sister! Some people seem to think it's soooo easy!
  9. Thanks! You're a strong lady! lol
  10. When I had my vsg done I did fine the first day and a half. the rest of the time I tried to sleep as much as I could so I didnt have to think about not being able to eat. Hang in there...just a few hours left! Good luck!
  11. Thanks Jaime...I sure hope so.

  14. Thanks John! I heard the same thing...just a lil scared cuz its my second time under the knife and after this there isn't much I can do in the off chance that it doesn't work.
  15. Glad to see the surgery went well...
  16. I am a "smaller" patient too. I am 230lbs right now and waiting for my date. I have had WLS before lost some weight but not enough. I also have an Iron deficiency anemia which is caused by my extremely heavy periods and by my inability to properly absorb b12. Im hoping these will resolve..I hope it resolves for you as well!
  17. Lots of luck to you...please keep us posted!
  18. Hello Everyone! Im Angel and I am currently waiting for my surgery date. Im having my VSG converted to a RNY hopefully withing the next 2 weeks. In 2/2011 I had a nissen fundoplication (had 1/3 of my stomach folded to relieve severe acid reflux) and had the rest of my stomach cut into a vertical sleeve. After surgery, my reflux was cured and I lost some weight, but a few months later the reflux came back and hardly any weight came off (trusted me I have tried!) I am hoping that this surgery will cure my reflux and my weight problem once and for all! Im super scared about going under for the second time around but curious to see if I will finally get the results I need! How are all of you dealing with your surgery? Anyone here in my same situation? Has anyone here had a previous surgery converted to an RNY? Thanks!
