Today I begin puree and I am aprehensive. Is tuna salad and egg salad wirled in the processor considered puree? Also any ideas out there other than refried beans, ricotta and cottage cheese? TIA

Yes I had to do one two weeks prior and it was difficult to say the least, but worth it! I had a lady in the room next to me that when they went in she had food in her stomach and they ended up opening her, and then she had a serious wound infection afterwards, totally not worth it! Good luck and you will do great, the best thing to do is always follow your Dr's advice!

My surgeon also does not allow them until 4 months.

You can do diet snapple, cristal light, mio, propel packets just make sure everything is sugar free and non carbonated.

My surgeon is the same one that did my initial surgery and his team works for one of the hospitals here in Miami that is a Center of Excellence in Bariatric surgery so the entire team uses it now. You will definetly have a positive experience! Did they put you an a liquid diet?

Normz956 and beachbum, you ladies are dong great! I had my initial RNY eight years ago and my staring weight was 383, by 18 mths post op I was down to 213. Maintained that for a few years, over the last couple of years I gained up to 266. I just had a revision RNY on 8/20 because my anastomosis was dialated. This is the best single thing I have ever done, without this I would of never gotten down to what I did, I chose to go through this again for several reasons but most importantly because I never want to go back to feeling like I did at 383 ever again! I had my Revision RNY on 8/20 with the davinci robot. But again it was a revision. I did find less pain than my original RNY that was done laprascopically and the incisions five of them are thinner than the first ones. I was discharged four days later and on the fifth was shopping. So far so good some pain on the left where my drain was and most of the surgery is done.

Yep, I am on each stage for two weeks, full, puree, soft and then regular...

These r mine I am still pretty swollen and bruised my revision RNY was on 8/20. Great thread! Oh and my dermabond is still on. This is were my drain was on top of my tattoos ear and my surgeon cut around the owl head to make the fifth incision.

Let me clear something up, No they did not let ME eat until they did the upper gi to make sure I had no leaks, once results come in they took it out and begin ME on Clear liquids. Everyone's experience is different, this was soley my experience.

Surgery Monday home Thursday evening, walking at the store by Friday. Today 10 days post op feeling good but still taking off another week.

What has been everyone food progression like? My surgeon said 2 wks full, 2 wks pureed, 2 wks soft and then on to regular.
