Dear Got2bethin,
You hang in there - ya hear me ??? !!! Let me tell you, I am 4 months out and down 74 pounds. I too was in the WTF stage. I questioned daily why I had done what I had done.... I cried, I grieved. Today I went to the movie with my family and had popcorn !! Okay, I didn't get the buttery kind, but I ordered a small bag without the goo and ate it !! I go out with my family and eat very small portions of whatever they are having. What's my point ??? LIFE GETS NORMAL AGAIN !! IT REALLY, REALLY DOES !! I understand everything you are feeling and sympathize greatly, but you hang in there, life all balances out again in the NEAR future.... Life is good !!

We have been here for about a year. Came from fort drum new York...it sure is different down here compared to my home state of Michigan lol
Well we have even more in common !! I live in Mount Clemens, Michigan ! ! My daughter told me they call Fort Polk the armpit of the army !! She was in culture shock down there too !
-
I am not sure where that is lol....we are at Fort Polk' date=' Louisiana.[/quote']
My daughter was stationed at fort Polk for 3 years. But that was about 4 years ago !

I'm learning that quickly;) Atypical gall bladder presentation. Pain issues that were severe and completely unrelated to gas. One of the gyn/onc surgeons on our unit said' date=' "Aleysia, you're nuts!! Only you could have such issues. It's all unheard of." Of course this was after relaying all my surgical issues and the reason I was wearing a sling from falling over my own two feet while running to the phone to call a code! I'm just a hot mess!!<img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />[/quote']
LMAO. That sounds like something I would do!!! At least Calling a code is stressful!!! You have an excuse !! I do I significant things like trip over the dog at the back door and take out a flight of steps and end up in surgery. We are kindred spirits !!!

I am with you kiwi. I try hard not to regret it but I am tired of the nausea, I am 2 months out. And I am sick of being sick!! But on the plus side, I have lost 49 pounds. Good and bad

You are the rarity, but we do see it sometimes, besides stones, some people have gallbladders that just don't do their job.

All I have is constant nausea and vomiting when I eat solid foods. No pain at all.I don't vomit much but the nausea is constant. I don't have a gallbladder anymore ( removed 25 years ago) but I can tell you this, of it's GB - you will have pain. The gallbladder is a little holding tank for bile... Bile is made in the liver and when we eat something with fat in it, the gall bladder squeezes the bile into the stomach to break down the fats. If there are stones in the gallbladder when it contracts, it squeezes the walls against the stones and causes pain. Okay, there is the anatomy lesson for the day, yes I work in medicine and I will get down off my soapbox now. ; ). Just trying to help and I talk a lot!! Have an awesome day!!

Hi everyone, just wanted to post a little something on Protein Bars I found. I have tried a couple of flavors and I like them. Here's the good thing about them. Low sugar, high Protein, low fat, they are chewy but the chew into nothing, easy to get down and best of all, they are high Fiber !! The only one I haven't liked do far is the chocolate brownie, kinda fake tasting. Anyway, you can get them online or at the Vitamin Shoppe, probably GNC too. They are called Quest Bars.

I'm having a really hard time with drinking and would like any advice. I've had to receive 3 bags of IV fluids this week from dehydration. When I sip I feel like I'm getting nauseous after 2 or 3 sips. I'm getting very discouraged right now. My dr said next time I'll have to be admitted.Hi Carrie, I have been having the same issue. My weight loss stalled and I wasn't getting in hardly any Water or Protein. I went to the doctor yesterday for my 6 week checkup and told them that everything I put in my mouth makes me nauseous so I can't eat and drink. They asked why I had not called and told them about the nausea. I WAS TRYING NOT TO WHINE! Anyway, the doctor explained this.... I am dehydrated and because of that, I am nauseated, so I don't eat Protein and I do t drink which causes dehydration. Which makes me
Nauseous so I don't eat or drink..... Get it ? It's a vicious cycle and hard to break ! But it's not! They gave me Zofran dissolving tablets for the nausea, so yesterday I took one and ate and drank and drank. And today I am drinking like crazy after taking the Zofran znd guess what?? I feel so much better !!! And I was down 2 pounds this morning !!! I wish I had asked for the nausea medication sooner !!!! Please everyone, don't be afraid to ask the doctor for nausea medication, it really, really, really helps !!!!
