One of the lady's I met here threw surgery has the Philsbury sugar free cakes and icing she even found a brownie mix. Me personally I think if I started eating that stuff again it would be a gateway drug and I'd eat more and more sweets. I am terrified to mess this up and put all this hard work to shame. So I have a chocolate mousse made by Jello temptations it's fat free and sugar free 60 calories and it's premeasured cups if I'm feeling super bad I add a table spoon of fat free cool whip on top. That's my sweet treat if I need it. I love to bake and I still bake for family and friends I just remind myself that I don't need those things anymore. Don't worry we all have a good cry, food was a big part in our lives. I love food but I'm not gonna let it control me anymore I'm in charge!

That's not cool Vamp, he needs to get himself right. My husband made comments like if you cheat I'll kill you and him and giggled, or best not go slute with that new body. But we laugh and joke we been married over 15 years. If he dared to say anything negitive to me I'd put him in his place one we been married to long for that crap and it was for better or worse. Honey don't let him bring you down he sounds jealious and he needs to get over himself and treat you like the princess you are and spoil you and enjoy this new body.

I'm nearly 4 months post op and it helps a lot when hubby keeps me on strait and narrow. Your wife's tummy had the bypass not her mind and it's hard getting that understood. I wanted things I couldn't have and I did have melt downs if it wasn't for my hubby helping me threw it I couldn't imagine being where I am now. So be the adult and tell her no she can't have it but help her find alternatives. I also had issue making my own plate because portions so hubby did it for the first month and even made the food for me. Little things like that really helped. Oh and don't eat the things she really likes but can't have in front of her it's cruel, hide them.

My story begins nearly 6 years ago when I went to see doctor for routine checkup. My routine checkup turned out not so good, she pretty much told me it strait you made yourself this way by what you eat and lack of exercise. Hearing those words morbidly obese did hurt. She also explained that weightloss surgery would be needed because I wouldn't be able to do it alone, I was enrolled in nutrition class and fitness class which I'd have to do twice a month. I felt bullied I knew I was big but I was content with myself no real health issues. After a few classes I decided this wasn't for me but I did need to change but it had to be on my terms, I quit smoking and drinking sodas. This was a huge accomplishment for me. Then two years later I was asked to check out a weightwatcher meeting with a friend, I felt welcomed and fit right in I soon began dropping the weight. With in 6 months I had lost nearly 50 pounds and managed to keep it down for another 6 months. Then life kicked in and the WW way just wasn't working for me. I slowly put weight back on. I went back to hospital but spoke to another doc and decided to try the classes again but this time I wasn't being bullied into surgery. I was getting the info I needed without the pressure. So April 2011 I started the program for weight-loss surgery I had to do six months of classes and then all my documentation would go up for review if i decided to have the surgery. January 2012 my surgery was approved and scheduled for February 18, 2012. I spent 5 days in hospital and I have six tiny holes in tummy. It was painful but id do it again. I am currently 222 pounds from 285 pounds that's 63 pounds loss so far and boy do I feel great my joints and legs are so happy. Everyday is a new day some foods are hit or miss but I track everything I eat on myfitnesspal. I do miss things now and then but I feel so much healthier. I exercise and I'm even doing a 5k for breast cancer this month. I take my Vitamins daily and I try to make everything I eat count( no junk) I do worry sometimes what if I gain the weight back? What if this doesn't work? Am I losing weight quickly enough? Those thoughts do help keep me on the strait and narrow. I dont eat Pasta, white bread or rice these things and much more got me where I was so I try to avoid them and make better decisions when eating. I've always been a large woman and I was a large child so when I see all the health issues my relatives have I thank god I was able to have this surgery I want to see my kids grown and I love that I can be active with them. I have the best support system I am blessed I have a great family and friends, mind you threw this I did lose a few friends it's amazing when your not the biggest how people can change. This is a lifestyle change your tummy is bypassed not your brain so take each day as it comes. I'm nearly 4 months post op and I have a good cry now and then but I know I'm living a healthier life and that's worth more then all the bad foods!
