  1. True IT is all about the diet and excercise and no magical solution to weight loss. This is the healthiest way to do it. It forces you to make better choices and smaller portions. SLower weight loss is better but the main thing is stick to it,, increases your exercise and take it one day at a time to eat healthy. It will come off and if it doesnt, evaluate what your doing and see what changed you can make and then see if that moves the scale.. good luck to all of us,,, were all gonna be great losers!!!
  2. Yes PB is a weird feeling.. You almost know it immediatly when its gonna happen. With me there is almost never turning back. I stop eating what Im eating and then patiently wait. Not too long off, a couple of minutes or so I feel the urge and then its out. Lost appetite though. I find it happens when I dont chew well enough or try to eat too fast. Old habits are hard to break.. or take a drink and push something down sometimes makes it stuck,,, live and learn,, youde think someone ws gonna steal our plate or something the way we scarf down. No wonder were the size we are. :car: or were.. Lost 18 1/2 lbs since my band June 20th so Im gonna keep on keepin on,,,,
  3. Is it too late to join this calendar? I had mine on June 20th..Twinstwice
  4. I know whatcha mean. Had my surgery June 20th and have PB'd a time or two. What a weird feeling that is,, you know its coming on as soon as you swallow something but the odd thing is, you might have just ate the same thing and had no problems. For me it is eating too fast and not chewing enough I think. Ya'll have that same problem?
  5. HI I was banded 6/20 and while reading your posts I can see what I thought was odd was perfectly normal too. I had a stabbing pain around my left side that eased as time went on but it did catch me off guard. I also was bloated and sore. Hard to sleep on the side etc. It most definitly gets better. I am eating regular food. I was bad, and started eating early but I pulverize it before I swallow and eat very small amounts. I have done fine. I advise you to follow your drs orders and dont be bad! I had lost 12 lbs the first 2 weeks and I feel great. No more soreness at all. Have felt that heaviness so I know what that feels like, I try to eat soooo slow and chew so well to avoid that. Food just has a different appeal now. Not really interested. Found out I was trying to find things to do since I wasnt eating cause I didnt realize how much time I spent eating until I wasnt. Anyone else do that? My name is Andrea I go by Andy and I live in Arkansas. Love to read your comments thought I cannot find my way around on message boards, so nice to meet ya'll and happy losing to everyone!!! Hang in there it is the best thing that you could have done for yourself I do believe!!! :clap2:
  6. I went to Dr De la Garza in Monterrey. $8000 or $8500 with air fare. He was great check him out at Lite´n Free The patient coordinator Stephanie is from Arkansas ( me too) and she was a big help. I was banded June 20,07 and drove there and back. I have lost 12 lbs in 2 weeks. It was a good experience other than the drive.. Nice to meet everyone.
  7. Hi, I just got banded in Monterry on June.20th. Mobile does work there but you will be roaming like crazy. It does switch to an international Mexican tower. I have a media package on mine so I emailed home and text messaged and it worked out great. I also bought a card that is prepaid to plug into the laptop but it was kinda a pain to get going. I can fill you all in on the Monterry experience. Nice to meet everyone. I am new here and am a bit lost but am glad to meet new friends and talk about experiences. 12 lbs down :whoo:
