I had it and went to my dr and I had a stricture! He had to scope me and dilate the opening to my stomach! Actually had to have it done 2 times!

    Sick Of Feeling Sick

I had issues of feeling nauseated and like I wanted to throw up, mine started about 2 weeks after surgery, zofran helped very little, turns out I had to be scoped and my opening had scared down and was causing the problem. Deff check with your doctor!

    Nauseated

Made contact with my dr and had to have a scope done, he said I had already formed scar tissue and he had to have the opening to my pouch dilated. He also said my pouch was very irritated, so I got a new med today for that. A small setback hopefully back on the road to recovery and weightless again!
  4. I'm 3 weeks lap RNY, and this week has been the worse week since surgery. I am waking up every morning nauseated and feeling kinda sick to my stomach. I'm not throwing up but at times feels like I could, and I get gagged very easily! I can't hardly eat and I'm drinking as much fluids as I can. This is very annoying, anyone else experienced this?

    Having Problems Eating

I had my surgery on 6/7, while in the hospital I was on clear liquids, then wen I came home went to puréed food, yogurts, pudding, soups etc, then @ 10 days I went to soft moist foods, eggs, cottage cheese, well cooked fish like shrimp and salamon. I'm almost 3 weeks out and doing well, my only problem is horrible gas, I burp constantly. When I'm like this I can't eat, it makes me sick. Havent had it happen a lot but the few times it does is enough! I also find it hard to find things to eat, I get bored with the same thing. Any websites anyone recommends for new recipes?

I have had to take it, my dr actually had it on a list of things for me to have around the house. Seems to have helped me, just double check with ur doctor!

  11. Well my surgery was yesterday, everything went very well, not much pain other than lots of gas pain the was in my chest and shoulder. That pain was horrible and nothing could be done for it other than waking. I have 1 Moore day in the hospital then I get to go home. That's when the real recovery wil begin!
  12. I leave at 6 am for my surgery! I'm very excited, but yet very nervous too! I have worked so hard towards getting to this day, I'm ready, my family is great support, just some of them are worried! I know this is the right decision to make. Will post again after surgery!!!!

  14. Hi, I'm 4 days away from surgery, and on the liquid diet. Have been now for 4 days, seem to be doing pretty well with it other than my energy level has went severely down hill. I hope to gain it back as I have lots to do at home to prepaid for surgery. I'm here in WV, anyone else from Here?
