  1. How long have you been using it?
  2. I have been banded 3 years I don't have a specific goal for how much I want to loose, I was banded to keep from becoming diabetic, having sleep apnea, and high blood pressure. I have lost 80 lbs and gained back 40. I am extremely happy 10+ with my band. It is a tool, you have to use it for it to work.
  3. Get it checked out....I had the same problem and ended up having a slip...no fun.....I wish my dr. Had told me if you have reflux get it checked right away, I think I could have avoided a slip. Goodluck!
  4. Today I tried some black bean chips. They were awesome....10 chips had 10 carbs, 4 protein, 140 cals, and 7 fat...a little high on fat for me, but beats corn chips( which I eat way to often)'by a mile....I love salsa and usually eat it with raw veggies, now I have another option.
  5. My band slipped because I threw up and pb'd too much....I am sure it can happen for other reasons.....my first symptom was reflux....
  6. What kinds of things do you make chips out of? I bet some eggplant chips would be good and healthy....

  8. If you can get out and sight see every hour or so I would say go for it....I had to go out of town the day after my surgery for work...it was not so bad, it helped me from just lying in bed all week, I think it sped up my recovery...watching my friends eat out was the hardest part, but I just made it a challenge...many restraints have broth bases for soup that a very tasty....I realize that I am the exception, most people would disagree....I know my Dr. Would not have been on board if he had known.....I also don't know if I would have called it relaxing.....
  9. Who banded you? I was banded in San Antonio in October of 2008!!!
  10. It happens to me and I always think that it s my blood sugar going up....I am not diabetic but since te band I feel like crap if I eat sugary stuff without healthy stuff to balance it out...good luck tomorrow is a new day....relax and start over!

  12. I am going to talk to my dr. About this...I have the same problem, maybe there is a appitite suppressant for the evening...that I can go to sleep with.
  13. For me the nausea was not so bad...I believe that the lap and is a lifesaver...I had no comorbitiys when I was banded but was very close to having three...all of those disappeared...as for tickers I don't have a clue...good luck and keep us updated!
