  1. That's the same with me until I get everything done on my checklist I can't see my surgeon. Or get my final approval for the surgery, but my fingers are crossed and I hope you get approved soon
  2. They are still deciding to approve you for the surgery. Have you meet with your surgeon yet?
  3. Did anyone have to pay program fees($290) and class fee($60)s with their surgeons office?
  4. I have tri care and they will make you do the 6 month diet no matter what. I know it sucks but it's their rules. Hope that you can stick it out for the 6 months because in the end the wait is worth it good luck with everything and if you have more questions ppl are here to help you on the form.

I have tri care as well and I started my 6 month supervised diet before I decided I needed the surgery because my weight had stay the same for months, I'm at 210 now and started at 230 pounds I workout like an animal lol and have not seen any changes. It only took a week for me to get approved and I saw my surgeon and they said I needed to do two more months but I had my rant and rave on the form and had such great support from everyone to hang in there and that's what doing. Tri care can be a pain in the butt but if they are paying for the whole surgery then I will stick it out because I want it so bad to change my life and be healthy.. Just hang in there and by time you know it you'll have your surgery date and on the road to a new you

I have tri care but my appointment is on the 10th if september, she told me to expect to be in her office for an hour and a half idk if your nutritionist sent you a letter to fill out your passed eating habits and your weight problem over the yrs. I do have Skype but I have to make a new account if u wanted to Skype sometimes that would be fun to talk to someone who is in the same process as me.

I live in Fallon Nevada and they don't have a hospital on base so I have to go into town but tri care does pay for half of it and I go September 10th the same day the support group meeting is going to be I'm so excited. And after I get those two things done I only have to see the Phycologist and I have everything on MY check list done!!!!
  11. Just got a call saying tri care is not going to pay for me to see a nutritionist, has this happened to anyone else that has tri care?
  12. Im still pre op but I've chosen the RNY because I am at risk for diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease you name it I'm at risk of having it. But do your research and find the one that is right for you and talk to your surgeon about your different options. Good luck with everything!!
  13. It does help to get bike shorts and maybe a seat cushion for the bike.
  14. Omg I love me some spin, I spin 3 days a week 3 times a day. If you are thinking about starting to spin take it easy your first couple of classes, but you'll be addicted to it after a month.

  17. If its to hot outside I have found this walking DVDs that you can get at Walmart for about 10$ you can do a mile a day or if you are feeling good that day you can do up to 5 miles. Also the DVD has exercises to tone your legs and arms there great DVDs and are worth buying.
  18. Those are some weird questions lol, yes I have tri care west my husband is stationed in Fallon Nevada if you've ever heard of this place lol. I'm hoping to have my surgery by the end of the year.
  19. Congratulatons I'm so happy for you!!! Tri care does get things done quit fast which is good What type of questions did the physiologist ask you? I still have to get a referral to see a physiologist and a nutritionist, hopefully I can get that done by the end of September. Best of luck with everything
