    Anyone Getting Pimples?

I am sure it has something to do with the hormone change going on in your body. It may take a year for it to settle down. Sometimes I have problems with this too, I have been using my teenage daughters retin-A cream and it has helped alot. I guess right now our bodies are freaking out with all the changes going on. Hope this helps you out.

    Nauseated

Yes, I went through the same thing about the same time. I had called my dietician and they suggested that I drink some 100% juice and pull myself out of ketosis. It worked for me. I could not eat hardly anything. You may call your dietician and see if they will allow this for you. See if it helps. You may be in "starvation mode" and this is not a good thing. Hope you feel better soon.

    What Is More Painful?

I have not had c-sections but I have had my appendix removed and gall bladder out and this surgery is comparable to both of them the first day, but after that it is much easier than either surgery that I have had. I am sure it depends on the person and how much pain you can manage. I was walking two hours after surgery, pretty slow at first but each time I got up and out of bed I was feeling better. I was also released to go home after 24 hours. Not too bad of a surgery really. Go in there with a positive attitude and determination to do this as best as you can and it will be fine!
  5. Congrats that is awesome!!! I feel like mine is going slow too...then I think to myself there is no way I could have lost 54 pounds in 9 weeks on my own. You are doing great!

    Bad Emotional Days ?

I have days like this too. I feel the same way as you do. Some days are better than others. Its so hard. I don't regret it at all, I just get down sometimes. Mostly about myself. I'm not losing it fast enough and stuff like that. Try to keep positive and everyday is a new day.

    Jealousy

I hope that in time all of our spouses will understand that we are going through a huge life change. I think it might be good for all couples involved to go through some counseling just to make sure that each person is where they want to be. After looking at some things online, its actually really scary the amount of divorces that come after WLS. Good luck to everyone, including me.

  20. I understand completely how you feel. My surgery was on 4/20. I lost a bunch at first and now it just hanging on to the same 5 pounds. Keep your head up. Keep doing what you are supposed to do. This will work. I get down on myself sometimes too, but it only makes it worse. Congrats on the 20pounds and going to the gym. It will work.

    Getting Depressed

I am not sure how far out from surgery you are, but exercise is key and the protein...which is the two things I struggle with. The pool should help with your exercise. I notice myself feeling down a lot since the surgery. I pick myself back up a lot, but maybe you need something (like a prize) to help motivate you. I just ate Mexican because I got down to 250. I ate chicken fajitas (just the chicken and vegetables). But it was amazing.

    10 Hours Post Op

So glad to hear you are doing so well. Keep drinking and walking and that will help move the gas out. Hope you keep doing this well.
  23. Hello, I am 6 weeks post surgery and apparently I have hit a plateau. I am down 42 pounds since surgery. I am working out everyday with different things, treadmill, ab Lounger, Zumba, biggest loser workout, wii fit, ect. The one thing I can do say is that my protein is a little low. I'm having trouble getting a full shake down. Tried many...trying a new one tomorrow. I just can't stomach a whole one. I can't do the unflavored because I can taste it. Any ideas on why I hit this plateau and how can I move forward...5 more pounds and my husband is getting me a big surprise. Thanks!
  24. ~Christi~

    Hit A Plateau :(

I have had that too. Don't let it get you down. 2 pounds is no big deal. You will lose that. I am almost wondering if your body is going through a starvation thing....where it thinks you are trying to starve yourself so it is storing everything instead of using it. I am not a doctor, but that is the only explanation that I have when you are eating as little as you do (because there is no choice) and then you gain two pounds. In fact I think it was around the same time I did that...and then again last week. It sucks bad, but I don't think its anything you are doing, its just your body adjusting.

    Hit A Plateau :(

Honestly, I am not sure. Everytime I have dieted (before the surgery) this exact same thing would happen to me. I would eat right/exercise and I would lost 20-25lbs and then stop. I would get frustrated and give up. Everyone would tell me that its because I am gaining muscle, but I never really believed that. I just thought people were trying to be nice and make me feel better. LOL I contacted my dietician. I have not got a response back yet. I think I am just freaking out because this has happened to me soooo many times that I am a little sensitive to this. My husband refuses to let me take my measurements until next friday (the 2 month mark) he said because I am too obsessed with the scale already. :/ God, I love that man. He keeps me gounded (as much as any one person could I guess). You will do this. You can make this happen. Its frustrating sometimes. You hit bumps in the road, but so far not like any other diet I have been on...and I think I tried them all.
