  1. I plan on only taking 2 weeks off from work. My job is not really physical just a lot of up and down being a lab tech and a phlebotomist. After my hysterectomy I only willingly(sp?) took a week off then had problems with my surgial site not staying closed (im allergic to steri strips) so my doc called my work to inform them I would be out another week at least. :( LOL

I'm a phlebotomist too and was planning on taking 2 weeks off, but going back sooner if I feel better. It's nice to know of another phleb doing this too :(

  2. Hi, the way I feel is that we are always going to encounter food from one occasion to the next and we need this surgery to help us get healthy so I say just do it. :) My surgery will be in December right around Christmas, but I'm going to do it then anyway...got to learn control anyways and even though I know it's going to be hard, I'm trying to have faith that we can all make this work. Best of luck!

  3. Butter face omg I can't stop laughing... People think this is an easy way out. Who enjoys vomiting not me. Who enjoy there stomach touching the sheering wheel not me. Who enjoys the shirt being tight around the arm not me. We all decided to change for the better & we will all be sexy & happy.

I'm with you mami. No one wants to be overweight, we'll show them :)

  4. Another comment I hate is, "You have such a pretty face, if you just ate a little less or exercised a little more you'd be pretty all over." Really people?!? How about I tell you that you have butter face. Everything's hot but ur face! We aren't cheating by doing this, we have a metabolic disorder and need a metabolic remedy. Period.

  5. -Being able to walk, skip and run with my daughter without feeling like my lungs are on fire

-Being able to bend over to paint my toenails and tie my shoes

-Buying normal sized clothes without an X or double digits starting with a 2

-Sexy lingerie and being "on top" without feeling like my thighs are killing my husband

-Looking like the me I know I am inside

-Getting my picture taken with my family

-Not hating the mirror and being surprised by how huge I am

  6. Hi everyone! I'm just starting the process to get approved for surgery, my insurance requires 6 months of Dr's visits before granting approval.. so my surgery won't be until December, but I love reading everything you all post. The support is awesome. I was wondering if anyone could post their liver shrink diet? I'd like an idea of what it is :-) I'm 30, 5'8" & a terrible 300lbs. :-( I can't wait to look on the outside how I feel on the inside!!!
