Swim?
I was two weeks. Dr advised not to stay in for two long since your skintissue soften and can mess with incisions. I love getting in the pool with my kids!

Surgery Went Well.
The gas pressure was awful for me too. It lasts several hours. I had one pocket right under my rib cage and the next day in my side. Walking - yes! I also found changing position helped alot too. I must have used 10 pillows to support my moving around . Gas pains stopped by day 3 - relatively short span of time though painful . Hang in there... It gets better."

Any thoughts on why you were getting sick? Eating too fast? Stomach bug? I'd put a call into the surgeons office if it keeps up. Sorry to hear you ate feeling so lousy. I hear you on the cravings. Been thinking about nachos and diet coke all day ;/

What Are You Going To Miss Most?
I miss coffee .... My favorite meal ( I'm one week post op) is fat free refried Beans blended with chicken broth. Heat in microwave with reduced fat cheddar. Make sure cheese melts all the way or it will be kind of chewy. Tastes just like a Mexican dip - so savory! A 2 ounce portion is 9g of protein!

Pre Op

1 Week Post Op..need Help:(
I'm also one week post op. Liquids that are working for me are sugar free carnation instant breakfast, diet snake, crystal light, skim milk, chocolate protein shakes, chicken broth. Pureed food - favorite us fat free refried beans with low fat cheddar melted in it. I thin out the beans with chicken broth. I know it sounds nasty but it is 7 grams of protein in 2 oz and tastes like a dip. Fat free/sugar free yogurt and small curd cottage cheese are also staples in my diet. I hope that gives you some ideas and I hope you are feeling better very soon - prayers and hugs

What Is More Painful?
I had 3 c sections in 4 years (last one Oct 2011). Had laproscopic last Thursday. Incisions wise this was much easier and easier to recover so far. Worst part was gas pains day of surgery and day after. I have a very high pain threshold though. Took ibuprofen after sections. Had Dilaudid in hospital after bypass but haven't taken anything since coming home Saturday. Able to sleep on my side, move around, lift baby without any discomfort. With that being said, one thing I have learned from this forum is that everyone is different - such a wide range of experiences!
