  1. I'm so ecstatic I could scream! Just had my 6 month check up. I've lost 55% of my body fat only 25% left to lose!! Also only 30lbs left until I reach my goal weight!! I'm so pumped I went and bought some new clothes at my favorite clothing store- NY&C - mind you I changed there into an outfit I just bought - they offered me a job!! Ahh I'm truly loving life right now :)

  2. I have a question too. I'm new to this board so I don't know about proper posting protocol. I had surgery on 9/4. I still can't eat. Everything I put in my mouth makes me sick. I evev switched toothpaste Is okay to just get used to things for a few day and just take Water ' date=' Vitamins and meds? Then start Protein shakes when I can tolerate Water? [/quote']

I went through this for nearly 3-4months! Everything I ate & drank made me sick! You shouldn't really be eating anything this early though. Your only 2 weeks out right? If so stick to liquids, and sugar free pops- if you feel like you have to eat do soft mushy foods, like mashed potato's, humus, etc. Follow the diet your dr gave you exactly!!

  3. You are both doing exactly what you should be doing..nothing!! As long as you drink and get up and walk around for a bit every hour or so, your doing good! To be honest I felt like crap (exhausted) for up to 8 weeks!! I had all I could do to get out of my own way!! It will get better trust me! For now remember, your body has and is going through some major changes!!!

  4. Did you or any of you deal with people who didn't support your decision for surgery? I have a few people in my life who chose to hate on my choice and my progress.. I ignore them but honestly it gets old! Any advice would be amazing!

I truly believe those that aren't supportive are jealous! They don't know us any other way but being "big". I honestly wouldn't give a crap what people think. It's your life and your decision. Yes it's nice to have the support but if they can't give it to you- it should make you question their friendship. A true friend doesn't judge and will ALWAYS support you! You have plenty of support on here and hopefully some in the "real world" (meaning not online lol). Next time they say something to you- I would just thank them for their opinion and just let them know nicely that from now on if they cant support you, you would like them to keep their comments and "advice" to themselves! DO NOT BE ASHAMED of what you are doing. Those that have never been through this have NO CLUE how hard it is!! Be strong and stick up for yourself!!!

  5. It was my blood pressure running low. Went to doc today' date=' they did sitting standing bp. Sitting 90/60, & standing 80/60. I was extremely light headed. So he gave me instructions on what to do. So hopefully will fix problem.[/quote']

What instructions did they give you? This happens to me ALL the time & I'm 17 weeks post-op!

  6. This is day 5 and I have nooo energy. Bleeding is light dr said put a bandage. I'm getting my Water and Protein and Vitamins in but all wanna do is sleep. Lord hear my prayer.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I have zero to no energy for almost 2 months, if not a little longer! Your body just went through a HUGE change! Just do what you can- still exercise even if it's just a couple of minutes. Make sure your taking your Vitamins, Water and Protein. The fatigue is normal- don't get frustrated ...this to shall pass!

  7. Ok warning this is a STUPID QUESTION but I think I need some clarification. What exactly is dumping? Without being to blunt, I thought it was after you eat something, it immediately goes through you and your on the toilet. However, somethings I've read I'm not so sure that is exactl what it is...I think it's part of it but is there more??

    Sorry to be so ignorant....

  8. M not losing weight this is so frustrating! I try to get in as much as possible obviously without going over! I don't know what to do! I could excersise more but the storms here have been all day and everyday these past couple days but even when I was getting out and walking I still didn't lose 1 lb I. Two weeks is all I lost. I understand everyone's different. But y me?? Ugh sorry needed to vent!

By being on this site..one thing I have noticed is every single one of us has and will go through this. You are not alone in this. I couldn't agree more, it is very frustrating. However, it is part of the process. I am 17 weeks post-op and I can tell you on my journey, every couple of weeks I would experience this. When I went to my 3 month check up my doctor told me it could take the next six months to lose the remainder of the weight I want/need to lose. Remember this weight didn't come on over night so it isnt going to come off over night. Keep following your program, drink, eat, exercise and you'll break through this plateau!! Your doin great don't get frustrated now! Keep your chin up :)
