    Friday Weigh-In!

    The way my dr explained it to me is it is actually better to lose at a slower rate because then you won't have as Much loose skin- you have time to firm & tone at the slower rate hope he's right!

    Help !

    Oh yeah as far as popscicles- I lived on them! Jello- sugar free ones! Tasted delic! I did also buy protein shakes ahead of time - don't go crazy and buy a ton you can only drink so much- they go a long ways! Good luck

    Help !

    Your dietician should go over all the meds you need after your surgery. I now take 2 multivitamins, B12, and calcium caltrate. As far as overnight/hospital stay things- I brought loose fitting t-shirt, and elastic band shorts. I also had my hair straightener, makeup & other cosmetics. If I had only one thing I could have brought with me it would be my cell phone. My phone was my link to the "outside" world!! I was on it 24/7 when I didn't have visitors.

    Delayed...need Inspiration

    Omg! I'm so sorry! I can totally relate to how you feel. When I went to my preop cleance with my primary care dr and had the chest X-ray done- they found that the left side of my diaphragm was elevated and my dr refused to give me the clearance. I cried like a baby for days thinking i couldnt have the surgery! Thankfully I was able to get into to see a pulminologist prior to my surgery and had all sorts of tests and the pulminologist cleared me for surgery. Once you are mentally ready your ready for it to be done and over with and moving on with your life. I'm sorry you had to go through this- just remember everything happens for a reason!! {HUGS}

    I was told 12-18 months after I'm clear to have one.

    Scared

    I personally didn't find the liquid diet difficult. I had jello, crystal light drinks, broths..if I went out to dinner I'd order French onion soup minus the bread & cheese & picked out the onions and had only the broth- very tasty.

    Pregnancy

    Thanks for asking this question. Im 35 yrs old, and do not have kids yet but definitely want them. I asked this question and my dr told me he'd address it if it happened but do whatever I could to avoid getting pregnant!! Obviously wasn't very helpful info- lol.

    Yummy

    I can't stand the taste of cottage cheese by itself. I have always mixed it with sugar free orange jello and put mandarin oranges in it....LOVE IT!

    Sick Of Feeling Sick

    I felt the same exact way as you do now! The thought of food made me sick to my stomach! I forced myself to eat but right afterward I would get extremely nausious and wanted to throw up! To be truthful it took me almost 13 weeks postop to get over this! I'm only 15 weeks postop so it hasn't been that long ago & remember it as of it were yesterday! Force yourself to eat (even if it's a byte) and definitely push the fluids! I promise it will pass but unfortunately it will take a while!! Good Luck!!
