its been 3 1/2 months since surgery and i have lost 56lbs and im now 199! finally into the 100s. I hope to never see the 200s again! it feels amazing! with the lapband it took me a year to loose that much. feels so good to reach my first goal in such a short time! this is the best thing i ever did

My doctor says the rny is the one you loose the most with. I had the lap band in 2009 and had the conversiln to rny april 6th of this yr. And in 5 weeks ive lost 41lbs. I NEVER lost that quick with the band and he said i wouldnt loose that quick with the sleeve. In the end the rny is the best choice if u need to loose alot of weight. I will never regret this. And the risk of complications is a chance you take with ANY type of surgery. Its worth it to be healthy

im down 31lbs in my first 3 weeks. i feel like there should be an encouragment forum for those who havent lost much. im extremely happy with my loss in only 3 weeks. but i set small goals for myself. every 5lbs i celebrate. forget these huge 25, 50, 100lb goals.

and if ur surgeon wont do ur surgery when u have 100lbs to loose then they are not the surgeon for you.

i told my mom what ur sister said. my moms a nurse and she laughed. she thinks what ur sister said is absolutely ridiculous lol. more good than bad comes from rny.

i dont need all those articles. my mom is a nurse and fully supported me. i didnt have a hernia after. that doesnt always happen. my doc is amazing and has a 100% success rate. im not gunna go back and forth on this board. i know what i believe and rny has been extremely successful for me.

dont give up!! my surgery got postponed cause my doc was sick. they ended up doing it earlier than planned lol. this journey is worth it trust me!!

thanks guys! they just stuck a needle in my back to remove some of the liquid in my lung for testing. gross n painful. tomorrow theyre gunna knock me out and go in and drain the whole thing. after that i should get my breathing back. i hope.
