1. i dont need all those articles. my mom is a nurse and fully supported me. i didnt have a hernia after. that doesnt always happen. my doc is amazing and has a 100% success rate. im not gunna go back and forth on this board. i know what i believe and rny has been extremely successful for me. rny 4/6/12
hw 255/cw 214/ gw 140

 3. my doctor would deff disagree with that. no offense. ive been seeing him for 4 yrs and he does not advise the sleeve as a first option. why wouldnt he just do the rny to start with? it seems ridiculous for a person to get the sleeve KNOWING theyre going to just switch later. thats one unnecessary surgery. rny is most successful. and im sick of hearing people stress the malnutrition. taking a Vitamin a day doesnt kill you. and i in no way look malnourished. sorry if i sound brash but this is a very sensitive subject and being italian i have strong opinions lol. rny 4/6/12
hw 255/cw 214/ gw 140
 4. nope im good. still get sore sometimes when i take a deep breath...thats from the pneumonia. but its so much better now. rny 4/6/12
hw 255/cw 215/ gw 140
 5. the weight loss is all based on what you do. if u want it then u can get it i still cant believe at only 5 weeks out im almost half way to my weight loss goal already rny has been a blessing rny 4/6/12
hw 255/cw 215/ gw 140
 6. Dont eat peanut butter this early! It doesnt digest well at all. Im 5 weeks out and i tried it and threw it up. Not worth it.
 7. My doctor says the rny is the one you loose the most with. I had the lap band in 2009 and had the conversiln to rny april 6th of this yr. And in 5 weeks ive lost 41lbs. I NEVER lost that quick with the band and he said i wouldnt loose that quick with the sleeve. In the end the rny is the best choice if u need to loose alot of weight. I will never regret this. And the risk of complications is a chance you take with ANY type of surgery. Its worth it to be healthy
 8. I wish i was 155 lbs lol. But good luck to your husband and to you as well....you are no where near being obese but i wish you luck!!

 15. i just tried a Protein bar from whole foods called "think thin" its really good for a meal. one bar has 20g of protein i nibble at it over like 45 min. different flavors. really good. i only mention this cause since surgery just the thought of Protein shakes makes me nauseas. rny 4/6/12
hw 255/cw 215/ gw 140
 16. i was the same way...chose the band in 2009 cuz i was afraid of rny. now that i have done the conversion to rny i realize there was nothing to be afraid off. my incisions have healed beautifully. the only major complication i had was 2 extra hospital stays due to pneumonia. it left me with the "why me" mentality but im slowly getting better. 40lbs in one month is more than i hoped for. but id say rny deff takes more mental prep than lap band. its such a different experience. good luck with whatever you choose. both are tools and are as successful as u make them rny 4/6/12
hw 255/cw 215/ gw 140

 21. normal people get "grumbles" in their stomachs when theyre hungry. i never feel hungry since surgery. however, ill get an uncomfortable cramping feeling in what used to be my stomach. ill eat a tiny amount of food and ill feel better. please tell me this isnt what hungry is going to feel like because thats depressing. rny 4/6/12
hw 255/cw 218/ gw 140
