  1. This gives me so much hope!! I'm so scared but I'm really trying to not think about the actual surgery.. I'm just trying to think about the afterwards
  2. Me too!! I cannot wait til after my surgery (sometime in July)! I'm so ready to be able to wear nice things and not be so self conscious and to actually feel good about myself

  6. I'm finishing up my psych evals and the work shops... I start them in June.. How was the surgery?? And the recovery??
  7. We're you a "grazer" before? Not sure if it's used in other programs but my nutritionist said its someone that picks in between meals and eats from boredom.. Which is me now lol I can't wait to just get this over with tho! Every appt is one step closer but then I have a ton more! Agh!! Lol
  8. Yeah that's not fun.. I'm glad youre doing well with it tho, it's encouraging.. How was it transitioning from real food to liquids/purée?
  9. How long did it take u to recover and not be in pain from surgery.. I can only take a week off for surgery so I'm hoping it'll be enough.. I'm a hygienist so it's not too much lifting or moving around..

  12. I have bc bs of ri, healthcare coast to coast.. Think it's a ppo.. And they have all same requirements.. I'm almost done with all the evals and already got the medical clearance.. Hoping they'll deem the rny medically necessary!!

  19. Does anyone else have poly cystic ovarian syndrome? And if so how has your progress been?? I've been dealing with it since I was 15 and coincidentally enough have been gaining about 15 lbs per year since then! Not scheduled for surgery yet, still going thru counseling
  20. Ok so I'm totally new to this process. Just got qualified for the surgery on Friday. First nutritional appt is 4-28-12... I've been reading some of the posts.. Some ppl regret getting it scares me alot. How did you guys cope and get thru the initial scariness?
