    40's New Beginnings

I'm 43...had surgery March 21st 2012. I've had no problems or complications and I'm down 70+ lbs. May sound slow compared to a lot of people on this forum but my doc says that I'm doing excellent and ahead of where they would like for me to be. I started at a whopping 285 lbs...now I'm 215 (maybe less!) and can't wait to get to wonderland!!!! I haven't weighed less than 200 lbs since junior high school. I must say as of yet I have no regrets : ) Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk

    Stinky Poop?

I'm lactose since surgery as well but you should be able to tolerate some of the cheeses that are more aged. Such as Swiss...at least that's what Dr. told me. I can tolerate yogurt as well.,.certain kind though Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk

    Las Vegas/alcohol

My grandfather used to make liquor and the bulk of any alcohol is sugar. Not a professional but is drinking alcohol customary? I have a friend that goes out sometimes and drinks ice Water but tells people its vodka if they ask to keep the peer pressure down...lol Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk

  5. Yeah I believe the Protein should read from "whey protein isolate" or just "whey" and have a PDCAA score of at least 1. Their is a shot that we can do and it called HORMEL HEALTHY SHOT HIGH PROTEIN DOUBLE... it's 2.5 ounces and can be purchased at www.homecarenutrition.com....it comes in peach. I had a sample right after I got out of hospital but never purchased any. Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk

    Crackers

I was told crackers and pretzels are "slider" foods. You know they slide right through your pouch without giving you any type of full sensation. They are on my foods not recommended list as well. (List given to me by nutritionist) Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk

  17. I didn't realize you were at the 8 week mark...I'm going to have to free with DL...what part of 40 lbs. In 8 weeks makes this a failure? This isn't a race and I was told that you have a year....that's 52 weeks. You're only at 8 weeks. If you lose 3 lbs a week which is 12 lbs a month that's a total of 144 lbs in a year. Its very important NOT to get caught up in unrealistic expectations. You are doing awesome and its important to start telling yourself so because positive thoughts produce positive results Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk
