That's about what I paid as well, excellent service from every member of his staff from beginning to end. Their follow-up and care by everyone especially Laura, are fantastic!!!

The few friends that I have referred to Dr. G have found Laura to be very, very helpful in finding fill doctors near their area. Give her a call, maybe she can help. It's great to hear that you have support from the people around you at work, it's seldom like that. Often times you'll find someone thin critizising weight loss surgery........yeah like anyone without a weight control problem would know!

You are doing good. Maybe a higher rate of weight loss is not so good is you are having kidney problems. Take it easy and lose that weight at your own pace. CaliforniaNurse welcome to our group!! Is it any easier being a nurse and around doctors after having the lap band? What do you think Judy? With your sister as a band partner....... jen6740 how are you? I hope it all went well for you with Dr. G and you got back home alright. Tell us about it!. I think I'm at a small plateau at this point, but I'm ok with it because I know after a couple of weeks my body's metabolism will kick in and I'll be back on the saddle. I didn't lose any weight last week at all, but I think I felt a little loose in a pair of new jeans that were a little tighter. or maybe it's wishful thinking. NewBlew I got mine about a week after surgery, maybe you should contact Dr. V...Well I gotta get back to work guys, check with you all later!!

I have now reached my first big goal! It's official!!! I have lost 50 pounds! I hope you all had a happy and safe New Year's celebration. I look forward to 2008 being my year when I can finally shop and dress and live like I WANT to, not like I HAVE to. Getting the lap band has been the best thing I've done for myself. I hope you have all been as successful as I have, and may 2008 be bring the same satisfactions to all.

Sunshine its good to know you've hit your sweet spot with the adjustment! I hit my sweet spot at my third fill and have been doing great since. Judy and NewBlew I got that nasty taste also and I know it was the floxstat, so as soon as that was over I was back to normal. I wish you all a happy New Year and may you work hard at reaching all resolutions so that they may become reality. Lots of hugs for everyone!

Welcome NewBlew, it's when you have the band that the work really begins, you'll reach goal weight sooner than you think! Glad to hear you had a good experience, that's pretty much how it all went for me. Did you finish decorating your Xmas tree? Sunshine it looks like you got a little confident with taking the big pills. Some of those you really have to cut up in two or three pieces. Have you done better so far? No more heaving?

I hope you are feeling better sunshine, did you eat too fast? Sometimes it takes a couple of days of liquids after the fills to get back in your routine, I usually can keep eating normally just a little slower and with a WHOLE LOT of chewing. Take good care of yourself! Newblew, wish you the best and hope everything turns out great for you.

You are lucky! Angioedema almost killed my cousin , peanut allergy. When that happened I read up on it and never ran across any references to kidney damage, but, who knows that's better left to the experts. I read the hereditary angioedema may affect the GI tract with a lot of pain and vomiting. It sounds like you're in good hands and you have good doctors, I wish you the best and hope you get better. I'll keep you in my thoughts Sunshine. Make sure you mention all this to doctor G.
