  1. I am SO IMPATIENT! I got approved on Friday, and now I'm waiting for the Dr. office to call me to schedule my pre-ops, then set a surgery date. I just want the surgery date first and then I'll calm down and get my remaining pre-ops done... I NEED TO KNOW! Haha! ;)

    How to keep losing weight?

This is a great strategy. Back in the day when I worked out with a personal trainer, they basically said this same thing to me. Don't start doing an hour of cardio a day now, when you have all the weight to lose, because by the time you're lighter, you'll have to do 3 hrs/day to maintain what your body is used to! I think about half way I'm going to start to incorporate weight training 2 days and small walks (30 minutes) 3 days a week, resting on weekends. I don't want a ton of loose skin, but I also want to take advantage of my honeymoon period (that 1st year) to get the weight off...

    Aetna denied me!

EKG, GI, chest X-ray, labs... A surgeon appt. I can get all that in pretty quick once I have the procedure date. I'd call them now, because it never hurts to get a 2nd opinion. Also, you've moved so its a legitimate request. Not like you're shopping around. I can't say enough about them, they're great! Sent from my iPad using VST

    United Healthcare PPO

I just got the call that my paperwork was submitted to insurance today!!! The waiting game begins... My coordinator says that they usually wait 7 business days before they follow up with insurance so I'm on pins and needles. That will be Nov. 1st. You can bet though, that I'll be calling my insurance on Monday just to make sure they got it! I'm not patient!!!

    Blendtec at Costco $399

So I was at costco this weekend and watched an amazing presentation on the Blendtec blender/processor which directly competes with Vitamix but is about $100 less. It's amazing. It has smoothie, ice cream, and Soup settings. You can make homemade Soups, purees and other creations in seconds. Toss some roasted chicken and almond milk with roasted red peppers and herbs for an amazing soup made in 90 seconds! Freeze for weekday meals! So easy! I'm serious, he made an "ice cream" which had: banana, spinach, plain coconut milk and ice - it was amazing and thick and totally healthy! No added sugar. You can also add beets, pineapple, all sorts of things for your Fiber but in a more digestible form. This is not juicing, it's whole foods at it's best. And the best part is that you can get 2-3 oz storage containers (like for baby food) and freeze/store for later! So getting this thing!!! http://www.costco.co....100052400.html containers: http://www.amazon.com/Gladware-Mini-Round-Containers-Lids/dp/B0030HTZTM/ref=pd_sim_hpc_5

    Sleevers by profession.

I would imagine working for a small-medium sized general practice firm where there may be some cross-over or cross-training. It's hard once you've begun travelling down a particular path to change course, as I'm sure you know... Sent from my iPad using VST
