Ketosis I have the same issue. But my husband is out of town. Lucky me... he didn't hafta smell me. I smelled like a freakin kitty litter box. My pitstick didn't even wanna work at that time. I showered daily too!! It just went away and I'm 10 wks out. It's a good thing really means your body is burning fat at a rapid rate. Most other people (other than the smell accompanied with it) wish they could put their body's in to ketosis. Or that's what I've read about it online. It's high Protein low carb diets. And yes lots have said B12 will make you smell funny.

Lol My husband killed his Elk and Deer this year so I now am a proud owner of 300 pounds or venison. We freaking eat it almost daily. I do however half to break it up with some chicken a few times a week. It's a learning curve cooking this lean meat I tell ya!!
Oh and I'm in Washington state near the border of Canada.

sophiepants got a reaction from missbrown30 in How often do you weigh?
I weighed myself weekly on my surgery day (Wednesday) for the first 4 months. Now IDK what happened but I weigh myself daily or every other day now. I only record on Fridays now so everything during the week is just numbers.
For example this week....I started out at 176 down to 175 then yesterday I was 178 today (my day I record) I'm 173. So picking one day to track it is best I believe! As the vets said weighing daily in after goal helps keep you accountable. I believe I will be one of the ones that will need to. But each to there own. Each persons weighing works for them
    We all are freaking SUPERSTARS!

Our dinner. Taco meat, black Beans, rotel, onions, cilantro, cheese baked together. Served on cucumber slices with Greek yogurt. Yummy! I had that plus another ounce of the taco mix. Tummy is comfortably full and happy.

Today I made chocolate Coconut "Fudge" with chocolate Protein Powder. It ended up having 8 gms Protein, 8 gms fat, and 7 gms net carbs. Not bad for a treat! And no cooking either, which makes it perfect. Interestingly, I think if you omitted the coconut, this would actually qualify as a soft food for post-surgery. Not bad eh?

I had the same fears about being criticised for choosing weight loss surgery. And I didn't want anyone to know I was doing it. But I finally went through with the surgery after asking myself 2 questions I use when making a major decision:
    1. Do I want to be in this situation a year from now?
    2. What am I willing to do to get out of this?
It took me 20+ years before I realized I was not going to be able to lose weight on my own. And yes, it felt like a failure on my part. After all, we've been conditioned by TV, movies, parents, and our role models to believe that we can do anything we want if only we'll put in the effort.
It was the toughest decision of my life. And I even backed out on my 1st attempt. But it was also the best decision I've ever made.
I have no easy answer as to how to deal with the fear of being criticized. I can only tell you that once I made the final decision, I was committed in my mind and I was ready to tell anyone that didn't like it they could do a "cranial rectal inversion!"

C'mon......it's just the idea of people not understanding the whole story that is really bugging us about that "Easy" crack.
In truth, losing the weight is easier than any efforts I made before......not to mention I'm actually changing my lifestyle and eating healthy this time.
OK, OK..... I know there is the whole "life risking" surgery thing and recovery pain and mini meals and no gulping and tenny bites and chewing endlessly and loss of taste and and and. Plus there is still that reality that I have to change my eating habits to eat less......and healthy and exercise and take Vitamins and pretty much everything that any other weight loss would entail........So where is the easy part.
Who cares what anybody says or thinks. You not going to change their minds or way of thinking.
All I care about is reaching my goal and regaining my health and my life. Convincing others of how I got there is of no consequence. When someone comments to me about the Easy way out.....I just say....."Yep, I shoulda done it years ago"

Losing 126 pounds in 7 months is nothing to sneeze at!! You have done fantastic but you will notice after the 6 month mark that there is a slowing of the weight loss but it does continue you just have to make sure you are putting in the work for it. You have to watch your calories especially the carbs and start or continue working out. I am just under a year and have lost 103 pounds and am still losing about a pound a week. It is slow now but it is definitely coming off and I am still losing inches. Keep up the great work!!
