  8. Ok, I need some help with recipes specific to cooking venison and elk meat. My husband got his buck over the weekend and is on his elk hunting this week. We have 200 pounds of venison.....sigh I am not a fan of venison! (never have been) Do not like the gamey taste AT ALL. Elk however I do really like. So I have never cooked either. My husband fries them in butter and season. "YIKES" So my question is there anyone who can help me out by sharing recipe's that are sleeve friendly Any replies are a huge help!!!
  9. I too talk WAAYY to much about my journey....but sheesh I feel amazing and share the things I'm learning to make myself healthier. My husband and son have changed so much in eating habits also. (Which is because I cook) but I don't stop for fast food anymore our meals are home cooked 99% of the time. My sister is benefiting from it. She is a "skinny fat girl" who is now cooking better for her and her son, my sister in law had a bypass 2 months ago and is asking me lots of questions about my eating habits. I cooked her 4 different meals she could freeze while I was visiting over the weekend, my dad has lost a few pounds, mother in law, best friends ect all want to know more about how to better themselves. Just because I have a sleeve doesn't mean they can not benefit hugely from the knowledge I have picked up. I'm learning so much it has me wanting more. Its like a drug and I love it. In LONG yes yes and I love it.
  10. Feel free to add me ersopher on mfp
  11. I believe its a slider food.
  12. Oh I'll add I was over 2 months out when I started again. Coffee up until then didn't appeal at all at first.
  13. I drink a cup a day of regular coffee no sweetners either now. My nut said as long ad I get my fluids in its ok. She didn't wanna take my coffee away "being I live in WA " I need it to stay warm now
  14. I'm no food cravenness lady anymore either. It has a freeing feeling to not sit and consume a double whopper large fries a large drink and something sweet. I have stopped at fast food for my sister and son twice in these 3 months and never craved a fry. I was so proud. I still think about food but in such a different manner now. But I do not miss eating its not been hard at all for me to say no to something like an old favorite. Sweets are on my mind from time to time but it passes so quick I don't have time to decide what sweet I want. I think about cake most of those times but the thought of eating it doesn't compute. Its a beautiful feeling and one I had hoped for with my sleeve! Great thread GG once again!!
