I PM'd you Sophiepants, I noticed that we were sleeved around the same time and have the similar weight losses. I was wondering what you're up to these days in terms of eating patterns/habits and exercise routine. I've been pretty steady (stair-steppy but steady) but I'm definitely slowing down. It's like that elongating hallway, I'm just so close but not quite there. I'm doing really well with cardio (treadmill 75 minutes/day). I'm not as good about keeping up with my arm weights and I rarely do the other things on my "To Do" list--tricep dips and core exercises. I'm doing ok on eating. I'm not able to get 700 calories but I have managed to cut out sugar, grains and wheat. I've had a forkful of quinoa but mostly all my carbs come from vegetables.

How many sizes have you dropped?!?
sophiepants replied to rensterness's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
WOW everyone is doing so great!! For me my pant size was a 20. At one time I also wore a 22 for a little bit. 5 months out I ware a size 11-12. Shirt size was 1-2x, now I'm in a Large/Medium and I still have 20-30 pounds to go. -

I too am very well endowed. Worried I will loose a lot off the girls after surgery. My husband said that would be ok he guesses. We will just have to see how it goes. I wear your before sizes now and hope to have the same type progress you're having in a few months Oh ladies!!! I wish I was able to keep some of my girls! I was at heaviest at 42DDD, an F when Pregnant 3 years ago. Now sadly I have no bra's that fit and am about a 38/40 C. And I'm only 5 months out. I still have 20-30 pounds to go! I know doesn't sound to bad except they look like F'n pancakes hangin there....... It's a sad thing for me. lol I always had over sized "Girls" even when I was thin. Now I'll go cry in the corner! -

Congrats!!! That's amazing!! Your hard work is paying off!

You are totally normal not crazy. The decision to have wls is very much a hard choice for most of us. You have to face a lot of things about yourself in order to get to his point. And you will probably question yourself again and wanna back out. I know most of us do. But do your research and know your facts and you will be amazed at yourself. Good luck on the next step of your journey.

Speaking for myself I chose the sleeve for that very reason. I didn't want to have a chance to have some of the issues with the band. The sleeve for me has been the best choice I ever made. I'm 5 months out and 30 pounds from goal. It's such a personal decision and one you should research for yourself. Good luck with whatever you chose

Egg drop soup? Liquids phase
sophiepants replied to Wendydarling19's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I'd strain it and then drink the liquids. Still has the taste. Check out gamergirls profile and find the link to her recipe blog she has all kinda foods for the different phases for us to eat. -
Terry I did too! I got the stomach bug last week and never got back on to planking! I really like it to. I love the idea of a challenge so I feel accountable and need to check in. Thanks for hanging in there with me for a while

At 5 months I'll eat a pickle and am fine but only if I have calories left I can spare. For the creamy soup I put unflavored protein powder in mine to get some protein in.

4 MONTHS OUT AND SPENT THE DAY IN THE HOSPITAL
sophiepants replied to Pattie1966's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Please keep us informed on how you are feeling and what they determine. I get dizzy all the time still at 5 months out (getting 8-10 glasses of Water a day) and 80-100 grams of Protein daily. My BP is always about the same as it used to be. I hope you are feeling better soon! Good luck lady
