  1. I hope it gets better for you, please keep us posted! I am 13 days until surgery so I'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect. Thanks for posting
  2. Love that dress! I plan on waiting to shop until I loose some/most of the weight. My birthday was last month and I got a couple of giftcards that I'm just going to save and treat myself to a shopping spree I will probably have to get some of my work clothes taken in (yay!) during the process but I will be more than okay with it!
  3. Thanks everyone, it does help to have people to chat with that have gone through the same thing. I know it is for the best that I do it to get to a healthier me, I know I should be doing it. I think I just had a bad night last night and let all of the negative thoughts in. I am looking forward to a better, healthier me - I just get caught up in the short term not looking ahead past these next two months which is what I should be doing. I'm so glad I found this site to know I'm not alone!!
  4. I'm sitting here crying because I'm second guessing myself two weeks away from surgery. It's a HUGE change as we all know and I've done all of my research, I know, or knew this is what I want but here I sit rethinking it all. I won't be able to eat normal foods for almost two months, I might end up.with flabby skin that I have no way to pay for. surgery to remove. I know that's a short term problem and that my skin might bounce back but it just seems like everything is crashing down on me all at once. I have a great support system and it seems like everything they say right now I have a negative answer for. I was fine all day then all of a sudden I start with this doubt. Has anyone else experienced this and if do how did you get through it?
  5. Thanks for the feedback! I'm sure it won't be too bad after having the stent pulled out before but it's those small things I think of lol
  6. Hi! I had my pre surgery class today and found out that I will have a catheter in for 12-24 hours after surgery. Any word on how uncomfortable it was coming out? I've had a stent in my ureter (kidney stone surgery) and had that removed while awake, just wondering if it feels like a pipe cleaner coming out lol
  7. Just had my pre-op class and they said stage 1 and 2 baby foods for the pureed stage.
  8. I tried Chike Protein shakes, I got the variety pack and they have a coffee one. I'm not a coffee drinker but that could be an option that would satisfy your coffee craving and protein intake.
  9. October 15, cant believe how fast it's coming!!! Having mine done at Abington Memorial Hospital with a great staff. Starting to get as the pre-op diet starts next Tuesday. Good luck all
  10. Hi! I am two weeks and one day away from mine and I feel like I am in the same boat! I'm 27 with some very similar health issues in the same weight range. I just attended my last class before surgery and it's just starting to hit me that this is really happening. You will do great tomorrow, have some decaf tea to calm your nerves and just try to relax. Good Luck
