  1. I'm 3 weeks post op sleeved on May 9th and I've lost 13 pounds since then with a total lost of 25 pounds since 4/25, I notice that my frame looks a lot smaller than what the numbers show and my clothes are a lot looser especially in the stomach and waistline. I'm just wanting feedback from others in regards to inches lost and it's impact on what you see in the mirror versus the scale. Thanks
  2. You will be fine, just know that your walking time may be shorter than what you like but you can always repeat throughout the day. Congrats on your upcoming sleeve!!
  3. Thank you, I'm hanging in there and I can say day by day I'm seeing a small increase in energy just not quite back to normal yet. Good luck to you as well.
  4. Wow, that's a while, but it beats consuming tons of calories on top of not working out. This is quite a ride. Lol
  5. Thanks! I never even considered the calorie intake part, my body has to be in some type of shock compared to how I used to eat. Lol. This will get better I'm looking forward to it.
  6. That's great!! I'm certainly trying to get to where you are, keep up the good work.
  7. Thank you so much and yes let's hang in there. At least I'm happy about actually wanting to workout, my body just needs to catch up to my mind. Lol, thanks.
  8. That's great!! I hope for the same, I don't want to be months out still feeling this way. Thanks
  9. Thank you so much for responding, this is just one of those issues that you don't want to feel like your out of the ordinary. I'm looking forward to coming out of the sluggish phase I know that exercise will increase my results and I really want to get a handle on this.
  10. I'm about 2 weeks post op and I notice that my motivation to exercise was actually better pre op, 4 days a week exercising before was no problem for me. Im getting in all my liquids and protein. I know that my body has a lot of changes to adjust to, but I'm wanting feedback on how long after surgery did others regain the drive to work out? I don't know if this is a mental issue or a energy issue for me, it's just crazy that pre op I didn't have this problem.

    Back to work :-(

A small insulated cooler works wonders!!
  12. I'm two weeks post op and managed to get in all of my liquids and protein after about 4 days post op, my drinking is still the same, although I don't purposely attempt, I am able to "gulp" water the same as before. My doc uses a size 40 bouje "I think that's what it's called" he said that anything smaller was causing more problems and wasn't as successful for patients, maybe this has something to do with it all. I use premiere shakes which is 30g protein in one shake, I'm only able to consume about half a cup of soft food at a time, some days I can't even get that down, but I never have a problem with drinking.
  13. I'm 12 days post op sleeved May9 just had my f/u appointment and have lost 7 pounds in 12 days, I don't know why this disappoints me, ordinarily it would take more than a month to lose 7 pounds my dr says I'm doing great but for some reason I was expecting a bigger loss due to consuming so little, I have no problem getting in 60g of protein and at least 60 ounces of fluids as my Dr recommended, I haven't been exercising just 10 minutes here and there due to the tenderness in my side, I'm really hoping to be able to step it up soon with the exercise to increase my weight loss. I did start the purée stage a few days early, I really needed a egg, the liquids were starting to get to me. Trying to stay encouraged.
  14. I feel a tightness in my chest, it also feels as if I take another bite it won't fit down my throat, like it's literally going to come back up right away, I made the mistake in taking another bite after feeling this fullness and I felt physically ill for about 2 hours. This is how we learn.
