My surgery was covered by BCBSTX. The policy was through my husband's employer so maybe the coverage was different.

Good luck to you! I have no clinical support as I moved out of state not too long after my surgery. I guess I should be looking for local support. -

I simmered my broth with rosemary & thyme and a bit of bouillon the strained it. I loved it. -

Food not settling well today

I'm almost 2 years out and am having one of those days. I ate 3oz. of chicken for dinner and feel like I swallowed a basketball. It happens sometimes. -
Premier Protein ready to drink has 30g. per bottle. 2 of those and you're done. You can make Soups with double milk (milk mixed with milk powder) for extra protein. Make pudding the same way. Soft scrambled eggs, greek yogurt, tuna.

I just bought one today to use later in the week. I served myself 1 oz. of the cooked Pasta and couldn't finish it after eating the chicken.

Houston Area Surgeons Experience & Time Frame

I used Dr. Ricardo Bonnor @ Texas Endosurgery Assoc. I had to get an EGD, one visit with a NUT, and a psych eval. 2 week pre-op diet. Surgery was at Memorial Hermann-Memorial City. My insurance was BCBS of TX. -

I never had any nausea. My doc didn't prescribe any meds for it either.

When I met my husband he lived in Houston and I lived in Little Rock. On holiday weekends one of us would fly in to see the other. 5 years later I moved to Houston. 6 years later we are now both in Little Rock. It can work!
