  1. Thank you everyone!!! like I said I'm six weeks out and have lost 30 lbs!!!! Protein is not my problem:-) the Premier choc. shakes are great! cheese and yorgurt... I had my surgery Sept. 16th. and I haven't stop smiling ever since:-) I just wish I would have done this sooner.. My husband comes home this Friday from Afghanistan and has been gone forn 6 months. So I can wait until he see me!!!!!

  2. Had my surgery Sept. 24. Trying not to get too discouraged. Post op weight of 242 and today's weight 230. Maybe I should stop weighing everyday.

good luck on NOT weighing yourself. :-) I weight myself everyday lol!! I know I shouldn't but I can't help it.. I had my sleeve 9/16. I was 217 the day of surgery and today I'm down 21 lbs but I did go 8 day without the scale moving. I was devastated :-( then I started talking to other people that had it done and told me to have patience and you will start seeing it move again.

  3. Friday will be 5 months since surgery! I haven't posed much lately since my new less fat butt is out and about way more these days' date=' but here are some progress pictures! They were always my favorite thing to see when I was pre-op!!

It's amazing to finally feel "normal" again. I lost 40 in the 4-5 months pre op, and another 57 since surgery, putting me at a loss of 97lbs. I feel like a whole new person. I'm a better mom, wife, friend and just a better, happier, person all around!! :)

AND YOU SHOULD BE! YOU LOOK AWESOME!!!!!

  4. I was sleeved on 16 Sept.....as of today I have lost 18lbs! started at the gym last week so hopefully that will make the weight fall off faster and keep me tone!

please let me know how the gym go. when my husband gets by from being deployed we are turning our room over he garage into a workout/gym!!! right now I been walking almost 3 1/2 miles every other day.

  5. I had my surgery 9/11 and here is an example of my intake:

    1/2 c egg beaters

    1 laughing cow cheese

    3 oz tuna

    1 Tbsp light mayo

    3 oz roasted chicken thigh

    1 oz puréed carrots

    1 oz mashed sweet potatoes

    Snacks

5 oz light & fit Greek yogurt

    4 oz unsweetened apple sauce

1/2 c non fat cottage cheese with 1 Tbsp strawberry all fruit spread mixed in

    That's my usual day...

Thank you so much!! I'm going to have to try the laughing cow cheese. I don't like cottage cheese BUT everything else I like!!! DO YOU FINE YOUR SELF EATING EVERY 2 HOURS OR ALL DAY LONG?

  6. Had my surgery on Sep 17

Initial weight two weeks before surgery 276

    Surgery weight 261

    Todays weight 253

    So far 26 pounds lost.

hey I had my surgery 9/16 (I know it says August sleeves ) I must have been out of it lol!! I've hit a brick wall. Could you share with me what your menu looks like. how much Protein and calories are you getting in?

  7. How exciting! Thank you & your family for everything you all have sacrificed.....I know how difficult it is for those deployed' date=' and their loved ones.

We all lose weight at our own pace......so try not to put that kind of pressure on yourself....

I don't think the miralax matters when you take it......if I don't have a BM for a day, then I take it.....they took care of my problem in the ER....not fun LOL I'm told you can take it for life if necessary......I'm hoping to avoid that LOL[/quote']

OK once again thanks for the info. on the Miralax. I will definitely try that.... Now with you being 2 months out how do you feel and what types of foods are you eating?!

  8. KRM' date=' Don't be discouraged....we're going to have hiccups along the way....I'm 2 months out and have had a few stalls.....my longest was 17 days......but as mentioned, I was shrinking, so it's all good......we've put our bodies through a lot.......you're early out, but try to get in your Water totals, that will help with weight loss and BM's (I struggle with getting in water myself)

With regards to the BM......I had a blockage, and the doctors told me to take Miralax every day.....plus they said dairy products can be constipating....that includes yogurt and whey Protein (whey is a byproduct when they process raw milk).....cottage cheese, milk........so I'm struggling to take in my protein with less dairy....Good luck![/quote']

Thank you so much for the info. You are so right we did put our bodies throught enough.. I need t0 have patience:-) I just have it in my head to get to a number before my husband comes home from being deployed. he comes home on the 30th of this month!!!!!!!!!!! BUT I KNOW I NEED TOSTOP THINKING LIKE THAT::-) On the Miralax does it matter when taking it morning or night? And did you take it everyday and how long?

  9. Surgery date 9/22. I'm only down 10 lbs. Trying to not be discouraged by comparing myself...

my surgery was 9/16. I'm down 19 lbs. I was getting very discouraged cause for 8 days I didn't lose a oz. I also hadn't had a bm in almost 10 days. my friend who had the sleeve done in January told me to do stool softener and after taking that 5 days I finally went but boy was that pain full.

  10. At 11 days Post op' date=' I would call the on call line and ask if it is an issue. Pain can manifest in a different place than the actual problem. Just to be safe, I would call. Hopefully it is nothing.[/quote']

hey my name is Karen and I had my sleeve on the Monday Sept. 16. I was feeling great until today. My feet and hands have been tingly and going numb off and on. is the normal???
