  1. One week. And by then, I had my first follow up appointment with my doctor and he took them all off and told me to just let them air from now on. One of my wounds was bleeding a little, so he covered that one up. The glue came off after the second week... But not entirely by itself; I picked at a lot in the shower with soap...
  2. I'm still losing. I lost 3lbs this week, and 4lbs last week. Yesterday, I was 210, and just this morning, I was 209.2.
  3. Can I consider a Crystal Light drink as part of my water intake? It has been so hard for me to get enough water in, but if it's ok to consider Crystal Light as part of my water intake, it sure would make things easier. Any of you know?
  4. Me too! I'm always hungry! and I'm only 3 weeks post-op! I don't know what it is, but even though I am on a regular diet, I still have a lot of Protein drinks, for that is the only I know to get enough protein. So I'm thinking "maybe I'm hungry so much and so often because what I "eat" is liquid"... I don't know... But I totally sympathize...
  5. What are some ideas of Protein Snacks you guys have? I hate the idea of having a snack that doesn't have protein in it (being that I'm trying so hard to get enough during the day). But I seem to not know a variety of snacks I can have, unless there really isn't a variety including protein. I know about the cheese, string cheese, Greek yogurt, nuts, Peanut Butter... but what else can I have as a snack that has protein? Any ideas? What about you guys?
  6. I have some hair, but as a woman, it is just fine, small hair. And after my surgery, I noticed that they shaved my stomach! Even though I didnt even have a lot of hair! So I say bring yourself there, and whatever they need to do (whether shaving), they will do it anyway. So just let them worry about that. They've seen all kinds of stomachs before, they know what they need to do.
  7. Wow, ebonisekim! You look amazing! How much did you lose? And did you exercise a lot?
  8. Yeah, it definitely is hard! :(How are you doing being 3 weeks post op too?
  9. I feel so horrible. I am a self sabotaging masochist! This afternoon, I went out with a friend, and she really wanted to go to this one restaurant, so we went, and I thought "I'll be fine". But next thing I know, I eat 3 spoons of her fettuccine with shrimp, I have 2 spoons of lobster bisque, and we got a free dessert because we received bad service! And guess what?! I thought I'd take a bite off that chocolate lava cake too! I get home right after, and throw everything up!!! Ughhh, it was SO uncomfortable! But you think that would be it, but my brother orders pizza tonight, and AGAIN, as if nothing happened this afternoon, I eat a slice! I didn't throw up this time, but I spent the last 30mins feeling so uncomfortable! I can only think right now of how much I hate myself. After all I did for this, I just kept hurting myself today! I just want to cry! :-(
  10. I'm only 3 weeks post op, but my hunger never really went away. Well, I didn't feel hungry for the first maybe 4days.... after that, if I didn't regularly, I get REALLY hungry. Starving even.
  11. It's happened to me too, I just used 4 pillows :-/ But I'm fine now with one or two.
  12. I was told to keep my diet low carb and low sugar. But I'm wondering what is low enough? At least at this stage (2 weeks post op) ? I'm finding some supplements online to replace having to drink a shake all the time, and some have 20 something, some have 12grams of carbs, some have 15, and some 2 or 3. How much is enough? How much is too much?
  13. I stopped taking it a day before surgery. Haven't taken it since and my doctor agreed that I stop for now.
  14. Thanks! After how I felt, I don't even want to try another one of my Atkins bar!
  15. I don't know but I do know that I'm addicted to Coke/Diet Coke/Coke Zero and won't be able to stop if I start, so I'm steering clear!
  16. This morning, I had one egg. Later, I had half of a premier protein drink, then a few hours later, I took half of an Atkins protein bar, and right after, I had horrible cramps, and then came dizziness and diarrhea... :-/ so I thought: dumping syndrome? But then I thought isn't the dumping syndrome when you have a lot of sugar? And the Atkins bar tastes very sweet but only has 1g of sugar :-/
  17. I'm not sure if it's a good thing but my surgeon followed up with me a week later, then I have another appointment a month later, and then in 6 months... haven't heard talks of lab work yet but I'm assuming it would probably be around the 6month mark...
  18. Hey Molly! First off, congratulations on taking a stand for yourself and doing something about not being happy with your weight. We are in VERY similar situations! I started off at 240 and I want to lose 100lbs as well! 25lbs gone already! I guess I can say I've achieved 1/4 of my goal already. I hope your surgery goes well and that you start losing those pounds :-)
  19. Try to take a dairy digestive pill. I had that problem but I tried having that shake with those pills from equate and it was completely FINE. Not sure if it'll work for you, but it worked for me. Worth a try...
