    You need a fill.... maybe two.. who knows.. you will know restriction when you feel it.. I have a fill of 1.1cc and do not feel restriction to the point of it helping me. I am going soon for fill number two, I really hope to get 2.5 cc or more.. Sorry i cant lend more advice.
  6. you can drink all the non carb alcohal and diet soda you want, in my oppinion. I lost 41 of the pounds pre-op in about a month doing low carb is all.. thats less than 20 carbs a day.. (claories dont matter if you truely go low low carb for a time, you WILL lose it.. for the livers sake.. )

I called it a feeling of horses tramling on my chest! lol This was on ice chips.... But he said as long as it wsnt happening on my Saliva, I was OK. ..well this went on for Four Days imagine that well I did'nt get any meds or Water down during that time >>>>I had to get Patches from my doctor... luckily he understood why.. I could'nt stop vomiting even a drip from an ice cube would make me vomit ....for crying out loud the doctor said I was vomiting up my own saliva ....violently vomiting >>>>>>>>>That REALLY sucks.. yep, thats why they told me I was OK becasue I wasnt spitting up my own saliva.. I mean I was for a few days, I had to have a towel to sleep with all night... but I wasnt vomiting at all.. maybe I should have waited? >>>>No one could of foreseen it would be so hard on you...     Its gonna have nothing to do with Fullness for me. I dont need a golfball feeling to tell me when I am full, just to tell me when to stop at times I otherwise wouldnt have. Thus leading to weight loss. Dexatrim can make you almost never feel a hunger pain... so I dont get where the feeling of fullness comes in.. And I dont get what Mental Hunger is, I want to eat what I want to eat, when I want to et it.. cuz its yummy.. regardless if I feel physical hunger pains or not. If thats mental hunger, than oh well... with the band restriction tuff titties. I was sick and I had the golfball thing and I even slimed alittle a few days ago. it was on half of one of those cheap chicken pot pies.. NOTHING in that thing could of made that happen, it MUST of been becasue I was sick for a few days.. (real sick, phlem, coughing, weezing) I stopped immediately terrified of a full blown PB and didnt eat much until I felt better... I went camping last night and I ate tons of food, no problem, not one ounce of restriction.. I cant wait for that golf ball feeling with my new fill, get this started!

    I am gonna have a banana freeze thing.. 1/4 banana frozen, 1 cup slow slender vanilla milk and 3 ice cubes.. in a blender, its 60 calories, 6 carbs and 1 fat gram and 7 grams Protein. I know I like the taste of this alot (taste like junk food) and its thicker so hopefully the fill will kick in on it, so i wont be downing the milk or juice .. and then I can avoid drinking my calories.

    I hate fat people!!!

    Fat makes me sick to my stomach... Well, it used to. I used to have a huge problem with it. I used to think my daughter was so fat, then I would see her with her 6th grade swim calss and she was smaller than all the girls and her ribs showed in her two peice.. This scenerio kept happening until I had to realize I could not see fat or thin correctly. When ever I point out someone and say "I am that size" everyone around me dissagree's. When I say my son is kinda chubby, at 6 foot 4, 240 pounds.. everyone says I am crazy.. I see my cousin as fat and she only weighs 150 pounds... 5 foot 2" I find fat guys unattractive no matter what I do.. even if I like them. This goes for slightly big.. never obese. I seen this one guy for three years now who is 6 foot 4 and has a slight gutt.. and its getting to me (time to turn the lights off) Its crazy.. I hope all this crap gets worked out in my brtain, i really dont like it.

    DallasDoll, I know exactly what your saying.. I just dont get it, I have no restriction either...(I have a 1.1 fill and my fill doctor is refusing to fill me any more at this point) and I keep being told to diet diet diet. UM that NOT why I got the band..

    Gained 30 pounds after I had lost 50 pounds. If your like me, you hate the thought of PBing and when you are extremely hungry you will reach for whatever goes down which tend to be milkshakes, chocolate etc. >>>>>>>>I am never hungry... but I MIGHT do that if I get hungry after I finally get some restriction. I will have to really try hard and think NOT to do that!!!! Get an adjustment that will be tight enough to eat meats in small quantities and veggies. Stick to Proteins that fill you up. Eat something healthy every couple hours. It will keep you from stopping by the KFC or wherever. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Yes! thank you.. Thats all i want.. I went to KFC today! Sheesh.. I am such a hog I had: One BBQ thigh (most of it) One and a half biscuit with butter and honey 1/3 cup cole slaw 3/4 cup mashed potatoes and gravy 6 broccolii head flourettes 3 bites potatoe salad 2 bites maccironi salad 4 bites noodle pot pie 1/4 cup peach cobbler 10 ounces 2% milk I shouldnt be able to eat all that and feel no restriction.. If I felt the uncomfortable feeling I would stop Well I didnt stop till I was stuffed.. thats how much I have always ate until I was stuffed. Maybe this will be a motivator to fight against the fastfood. My cholestrol was 250. I watched that documentary about the guy who only ate at McDonalds for a month for every meal...when they did his statistics, his vitals were in the alarming zones. >>>>>>>>>I watched it too.. it was VERY scary.. and I didnt eat fast food burgers for like a month and then it was like everything I watched didnt matter.. My choloserol is high too.. i take meds for it. At that time, I decided to see if my vitals would get better without any fast food. For 2 months I didn't eat any fastfood. my Cholestrol went from 250 to 175. My doctor could not believe I did that without medication. Just those numbers have motivated me not to eat at those places. >>>>>>>>>>.WOW really? well I just went two weeks with no fast food.. (just started back recently) But its one of the RULES i think I could really keep, especially when I am in the mode of being banded and following rules. its just hard to make any rules and follow them when I dont even feel banded yet..     Qwinner) As you can see, people who are losing weight, with or without restriction, are not eating junk food. They are not eating junk food on a daily basis because they are making healthy choices. girl) I just wonder how they did this... Thats all and why they would need the band if they were capible of doing it. Qwinner) I have to fight the cravings, the urges, the emotional eating to make the right choices. girl) I know.. and I have tried to do this for 20 yrs.. tried real hard, tried everything and continue to try,, Qwinner) Perhaps you should start to cook and not use that as an excuse. girl) I dont want to ciik, dont like to cook and have a hard time cooking because I am disabled. I dont want to cook any more than I want to diet.. and when I try I give up, same as with a diet.. and everything else that has to do with my health and motivation. Qwinner) What do your kids eat if you don't cook? girl) They cook for themselves and we eat prepared food very often and junk. Sad, but true. (they are not overweight BTW) Qwinner) It sounds to me like you are hoping that having restriction willl prevent you from eating junk. That is not going to stop you from eating fast food all day. girl) Yep.. and yes it will prevent me from eating fast food all day.. I know it will to a degree.. Qwinner) You have to change your lifestyle if you want to lose weight. Again, the band is a tool for all of us. It lessens our appetite so we can eat less food. girl) I was not told it was an appitite supresent.. There are pills fro that and I was never hungry to begin with.. I was told it inhibits the amount of food you can eat and thats what I will continue to seek until I am filled right. I can even know what I am gonna do with this band yet, I HAVE NO RESTRICTION.. I will be sure to let all you good people know though as soon as I have it.. I dont know what I will do.. I would take a bet i wont use it responsibily as I am surpose to.. WHEN HAVE I EVER IN 20 yrs been responsible about my diet and health?? I WANT TO, I try BUT the fact is THTA I DONT.. thats just me being realistic about my self. Qwinner) Less healthy food in moderation, not junk food or anything we impulsively choose to put in our mouths. It is apparent how much effort people put into preparing and making healthy choices to work with the band and make the right changes and choices to lose the weight. Many bandsters have lost close to and over 100 lbs. Some do it without restriction, others have less restriction but the main thing is that they have committed themselves to a new way of eating. It is alright to have a junkit day once in a while, but not processed, hi fat/hi calorie foods each and every meal. The only way the band works for people is if they work the Girl) I KNOW.. I Do I still can post my feelings.. do not claim they are the right ones to have. I cant wait for a fill with restriction to see how I will use my band..

    LAMadam) With the band I find myself eating healthier, honestly the band resrticts healthier foods like chicken, cheese, beef, veggies more then it restricts junk food and I know others wil ltell you the exact same thing! girl) OK.. I know that.. I do. But right now I can eat a chicken sand from KFC, all the cheese I want, all the bread I want.. and no restriction... I will fill restriction if I eat way way way too much.. but I rarely do that.. and it wont facilitate in weight loss at the level its at. When I eat junk food it is like I was never banded I have great restriction 2.5 cc's >>>>>>>>When I have at least 2.5 cc's ..... I hope I have something other than what I am reporting now.. But I cant know until then. Give me cheetos, pudding, Cookies, ice cream chocolate and I can eat it until Im blue in the face with never a PB and zero restriction But give me a chicken breast and I will be lucky to eat half of it. >>>>> I know.. I know.. By junk I also meant processed foods and fast foods.. I dont cook at all. What you put into your band depends on if the band will restrict it or not, so if you want true restriction you do have to make good choices mainly becuase the band doesnt restrict certain foods no matter how tight a fill you have and if you have a fill so tight where you can not eat or drink what is the pooint of that , you are only doing damge to your esophagus and your band and your health. >>>>>>>>>>I dont want to be filled too tight...   22. I never said a sigh was uncomfortable to me... ??? And I am not advocating good restriction at 2 to 3 bites either. I dont have restriction no matter what I eat, and need a fill.. THATS ALL.

    What does everyone do for a living?

    Wow Your all so amazing! I am disabled. They deemed me disabled for the last 6 yrs but I have only been on the SSI for less than a year. I paid for my lapband with my SSI back pay. BUT I am not a total loser.. I had three kids by age 20 I went from 135 pounds to 330 pounds from age 15 to 20 And I still managed to do the below.. on my own for the most part. I graduated in the top 10% of my HS I got a AA degreee in general ed I got a BS degree in Psy I am one math class from a Accosiate of science in Criminology I am 8 practicum credits from A Child and family Studies degree. I have been a Rape Crisis counselor A preschool teacher I did Special needs day care I got foster home certification, had one kid for 3 yrs and one for two now. I want to get my masters degree I want to open a teen parent transitional living home. Thats my biggest goal, I dont need a masters to do it but I feel I really need to get back into the schooling... refresh.. take the proposal and technical writing classes over again// lol Before i knew I could get any kind of WLS.. I had resigned my self to moving to the coast (on housing assistance) and selling crafts along the oregon coast at little fairs and markets and events. NO way.. Maybe when i am an old granny I will do that! lol
  24. Nykee, I really do sympathize with your difficulties, believe me. Just want to submit that no amount of fill is going to "cure" you of a junk-food habit. What will help are the things that you can start doing right now. >>>>>>>>>> I know that it wont cure me but its not even helping me a this point. I need restriction before I can even tell what I am gonna do to help myself as far as having this band goes and working with it. I have done all kinds of things.. its not like I am doing nothing. Every day I make an effort. I just went TWO whole weeks without going to any fast food what so ever.. (then I had to travel for a few days.. and I have started it again) Plus I bought a lot of sugar free coolaid and Crystal light and much more low carb foods to stock the cuppords.. Plus got a bunch of slender soy milk.. and so on.. I DO TRY.. DAILY. I want you to know that. Remind your brain that YOU are in charge. And you ARE!! For each day, you are in charge of what goes into your mouth. And if you concentrate on adding Protein to your diet and drinking calorie-free liquids, then whatever else you do the pounds will begin to come off. >>>>>>>>I am thinking that as soon as I actually feel my band working with me I will make WAY more effort than I am now. The low carb drinking will be my most important change. And when you get to a good level of restriction...hoo-boy, watch out! You'll fall in love with your band all over again. >>>>>>>>>>YES!   25. Maybe they want you to be eating the right foods before they fill you. Perhaps showing them that you can make the right choices (Protein, veggies, salad) they will consider a fill. >>>>>>>>Well too bad becasue thats why I paid 12,000$ was becasue I couldnt do it on my own. Getting a fill won't make you eat the healthy foods.
