Ms. Monique reacted to RJ'S/beginning in Leaks
Thanks for caring..The thing is that it has made me a different person and not all for the good maybe, but a new lease on life....
What's the old expression? " What doesn't kill you makes you stronger ."

Ms. Monique reacted to Healthier2day1227 in Bison steaks
Just thought I'd share: our local store had a sale on bison steaks so I picked some up for dinner just to try something new. I checked the label and in a 6 oz steak it is 180 cal and 40 grams of protein! Wow! I wish they were always on sale!

Get a personal trainer who is willing to kick your ass to make you do right. I'm saying this in my most compassionate voice - I'm not trying to be rude or mean. If you want to get the weight off you need to make the right choices and put in the work. Of course, I can say that because I'm pre-op. I may face the same struggle. Just do the right thing for yourself!!!!! The REAL right thing!!!

Ms. Monique reacted to lala2012 in What will IT look like? Maybe be tmi for some...
I'm 8 weeks post op, 43 lbs lost, and I have definitely noticed a difference. The mound feels less cushiony and outer lips slightly deflated. I was talking to my fiancé about it and he said he liked it better before the weight loss. What?!? Then he followed up with "I do like that I can go deeper now." He's also been losing weight and I told him that between my weight loss and his, it's like he gained a full inch. So I'm not complaining. Lol

I am 8 weeks post op, and I felt just like you do the first week..The first week was the hardest and kind of like, WTF did I do feeling...I promise you it will get better..After about 4 weeks I felt great and now I sometimes forget that I even had surgery..Hang in there, it will get better..The first week will soon be a distant memory for you..
