  1. Think I have finally moved from my stall. Just shy of 7 weeks and I am down 42 pounds. Minus 4lbs in the past three days. I also went to my Primary Care Physician yesterday and I have not only said good bye to 42 lbs (the equivalent weight of 5 gallons of milk) but I have now said goodbye to Metformin, Simvastatin and Lotrel. Two of them having been a part of my life for 11 years. I am also walking about five miles per day, climbing about 10 flights of stairs and burning about 3200 calories daily. I am feeling very good about my decision to sleeve and know I am headed for a better life. Come on summer and come on roller coasters. Enough about me. I would ask that you keep one of our September sleevers in your thoughts today. She has had her share of struggles since surgery and this morning they are thinking she has developed a leak. She will be tested this morning and if positive surgery to follow. Good luck friend. 11/12/13.
  2. I am 6 weeks post op tomorrow and just came off a 2 week stall. Down 38 pounds total.
  3. I mix in a frozen banana with my chocolate or strawberry Unjury and some soy milk and blend. The frozen banana adds nice flavor and thickens the drink to a shake consistency.
  4. Hopefully at the end of a two week long stall. And guess what, it started at 3 weeks. I am down 35 pounds all together, but only 25 since surgery. So I think there is nothing for you to worry about.
  5. My engine has stalled. Ok maybe not my engine but certainly my weight loss. I am three weeks post surgery and this is my first stall with weight loss. I have been stuck for four days and am curious when these occur, how long might I expect before my body wakes up and says, oh yeah, I am on a mission to lose weight and start do just that? I have increased my water and exercise so I am now open to thoughts. No I have not called my physicians office, I figure they have far more important things to do than answer such questions.
  6. Fortunately I an on Omeprazole so this is not a huge issue for me, unless I consume a little too much. Then I will get heartburn every time. My bodies way of saying " hey, I am all filled up". He also put me on Actigall to prevent Gallstones. Anyone else have to take these?
  7. Two weeks post surgery today Starting weight 311 pre op diet Surgery weight 300 Today's weight 282 Total loss 29 lbs so far. Goal weight 200.
  8. Congratulations you gotta be pretty pleased with that. You'll be in the ones before you know it.

Gamergirl I am all worn out on my food choices. I would love to hear, read, eat etc your recipes, especially if they are high in protein. How can I connect with you to get some of your recipes?
  10. good luck and a speedy recovery to you. Today is post surgery day 4 for me so I am slightly ahead of you.
  11. good luck, talk to you again on the sleeved side.
  12. . Good luck to you. I wish you and your surgeon great success and you a speedy recovery. And remember, walking may be your new best friend.
  13. With several days now behind you, how are things going?
  14. Wow that's a long stay. Everything go well? You ok?
  15. Hey good luck to you. How awesome and exciting.
  16. I too am on the 26th. Today I started a five day, 1000 calorie a day diet. After which I will switch over to three days of liquid and then time for surgery. Glad I don't have to do 8 days of liquid.
  17. So funny how doctors vary on this issue. Mine is five days of 1000 calories and then three days of liquid, that's it. My PCP said that none of the docs in our area use the 14 day but she has heard of it too. To each his own I suppose. I do not envy you, eight days is long enough.
  18. Just about ten days until I start my liberation. Anyone else going on the 26th?
