    Need help with meal plans

I supplement with protein drinks. Post op I prefer the nectar like lemon tea that I add crystal light peach mango tea to. Also unjury strawberry sorbet mixed with water, then crystal light pomegranite/cherry bland.
  2. I couldn't tolerate anything cold in the hospital. Peppermint tea saved me! Take some teabags with you. unjury chicken Protein mixed with low sodium chicken broth was my other life saver.
  3. Look at the bigger picture. If you lose 18 lbs every 34 days, in a little over 6 months you will have lost over 100 lbs.

    Protein Shake Sickness

It would help to know what you've tried and don't like. I'm not as found of the Protein I was drinking before surgery. But I can drink unjury strawberry sorbet mixed with Water with a packet of crystal light pomegranate/cherry flavor. I also like Nectar's Lemon Tea with a crystal light packet of mango peach tea added. And the unjury chicken flavor mixed with broth has been wonderful, even though I'm not big on broths!

    Maybe im weird

I'm having no trouble with liquids either. But I've read that isn't abnormal with liquids. True test is denser food.
  14. I can only imagine how hard it is for your daughter to face the weight battle at such an early age. There's a subsection of this forum dedicated to Self pay and Mexico. Look for that and read, read, read. Has you daughter been online reading the forums, too? I would suggest that as well. You may have already done that.

    3 days post op

Sarah, your post op sounds like mine. I felt great after they took me off the morphine. I prepared for the worst though!
  18. Low sodium chicken broth with unjury chicken and a splash of cream. Sometimes I add a few instant potato flakes. This is my go to Soup. Surprisingly, I like it more than creamy Soups. The Protein powder makes the creamy soup too thick. I also like greek yogurt with unjury strawberry sorbet.
  19. I'm allowed eggs in week 2.

    Stomach Burning ? Normal?

How long does it last? I'll have what I call a "wave" of burning for a few seconds and then it's over. I'm really not experiencing hunger but I do get my Protein in daily.

    Encouragement needed preop diet blues

About 3 days into my preop diet I wondered if I could make it. I so wanted to eat, eat, eat!!! But I stuck with it and the feeling went away. Now that I'm postop it's even easier. I think the preop makes you stronger!
