  1. I was told to eat them last..to get in a the Protein on my plate first since we are only able to eat a little, then eat your carbs. However I'm gonna be honest..I rarely eat any heavy carbs..potatoes, rice, bread...it all fills me up too fast and it's a stuffed feeling. So I stay away from that stuff.

  2. I agree...I only told 2 people my best friend and daughter because I honestly didn't want anyone else's opinion...or negative feedback. Now 50lbs and 5 months later...I am ecstatic! I only needed 60 lbs I'm almost to goal. My BMI was 35.7. But no more blood pressure Med's, little pain in my back and joints, I sleep better, stairs are easier..I love it!!! Great message Jessica..

  3. Update!!!

Today I got on the scale and to my surprise I'm 195.6 I'm actually in the 100 club now. Yippeeeee!!!! Just wanna encourage those reading to stay focused and know that it's so worth it. I'm so happy and loving how I look in my clothes. But more than anything no Med's, no high blood pressure, sleeping better and more energy. That's 47 lbs I've lost since Nov and I'm ecstatic!!! Good luck everyone!!!

  4. Trust me unless she's just too much you want here there. Your recovery may be flawless but if it's not having someone there to tell you it's going to be alright and support you when you have an anxiety attack, or has pain or vomiting will be priceless. Support is key ...your mind will tell you you want steak & gravy but your body will tell you the opposite and that could make you sad. I was okay with it..I fortunately didn't get depressed but I've heard stories. Just to be on the safe side let her come ..it couldn't hurt.

  5. I love my sleeve...wouldn't change a thing. Only need to lose 60 lbs going in..had my surgery 10/30 and so far I've lost 34 lbs. It's a transition but I have a friend with a band and she has more problems with certain foods than me. Certain things really hurt her, as for me I can't eat a lot of anything but nothing really hurts. Love my sleeve and I'm loving watching my shape come back...slowly...this way my skin isn't so flabby.

  6. Hello & welcome to the process. I think it depends on the person, some people do awesome with minimal pain and hardly any issues. But I was very nauseas and gassy. My first few days was hard and I was very glad someone was able to take care of me. After the first few days everything else was pretty easy. My surgery was 10/30 and I've lost 34 lbs to date. I'm doing well with the exception of having a very hard time getting my Protein in. It's so yucky to me now where it wasn't pre-op. So I'm trying other things.

I think you and you hubby will be ok after the1st week or so as long as there are no complications.

  7. Haha! Yes I'm real and I'm almost 8 weeks post op. I've lost 30 lbs since I got home after 2 stalls and I had all of those thoughts. I assure you I don't have any regrets and I feel better even though I still have a ways to go.

You'll do fine dear..don't worry we've ALL been there.

Luck to you and everyone still pre-op prayers up!!

    K

  8. Congrats my friend..I pray you continued success. I am Actually going on 8

Weeks out and I'm very happy. I'm only 30 lbs down but I'm a slower loser, had a lower BMI of 35.7 but I still have just under lbs to go to goal, I haven't been Able to work out because I had another surgery at the same time that restricted me. But come January I'm in the gym. Really looking forward to summer FOR ONCE..

    God Bless You
