this wed. is my last vivit with the dietition thank God but it went by pretty fast.

I have an hmom bcbs theymrequire 12 mths supervised diet before they will approve me for it

first things first go see your general doc then hell referrer you if he thinksmyou need lapband

Hi hope your doing well, I haven't been banded yet but hope to in Jan or feb. ins is making me do a 12 mth supervised diet .

I'm getting excited its almost over. But I'm kinda scared also. Seem like your doing great.

I haven't gotten the surgery yet. From what I read on here, You must not miss any appts. thats very important to keep everything documented. Then towards getting at the end of your six months go to your gp and get your referral for your labs and such.

Did anyone go below 40 bmi after 1 year of dieting? Then get rejected, for being under the 40 bmi. Thanks for the imput.

I have hmo bcbs and have been doing the 12 months supervised diet they require. My bmi is now 39 does that mean now the won't cover my surgery. They require a full 12 months. I will be so mad if after 12 months of waitng all this ins. stuff is crap. Did this happen to anybody. I will be done with my 12 months in Dec.

Its the dietition I'm afraid of getting me denied. My bmi is 40 write where it should be for surgery.

I'm on the eighth month, scared she will get me denied!!!!!

I have to do a 12 month supervised program, so far haven't lost weight I'm scared she will tell insurance not to cove me any ever heard of this. She doesn't think I'm serious enough.
