  1. I am 8 1/2 months out and still get the hiccups every time I eat/drink sometimes it won't be for a minute or ten minutes later but they will be there and has been that way since the day after surgery.
  2. I am 8 1/2 months post op and still have this so far it's not going away and dr said probably won't. And I also still experience the hiccups almost every time I eat or drink.
  3. I have taken 5mg of prednisone for about 8 years now. I was sleeved OCT 24,2013 and was off my steroids for two weeks and went back on them and have been ever since. I must say that my RA has improved greatly and I am scared to lower my doses in fear it will get bad again. I go back to the rheumatologist next month and we will see what he wants to do but 112 lbs lighter and I feel great, tho I still get the normal little aches and pains.

  7. I am 5 months out and hiccup all day long whether I eat or drink and sometimes without either but I get them about 10 times a day. Annoying especially at work but getting used to it now. Sometimes they hurt pretty bad too. Hope yours are only temporary.
  8. My dr never said no gum and have chewed it since week 2
  9. I am 4 months out and I still get gurgling when I drink. Not a lot of burps but very time I drink or eat something with liquid the gurgling starts and is sooooo annoying. sometimes it is so loud too other people can hear it. Awkward at work but they are used to it now. The hiccuping after eating or drinking gets annoying too after a while but hasn't stopped. Was hoping after a while it would stop well nope not yet.
  10. I have not exercised for a lot of the 75lbs. I have severe RA which limits a lot of what I do. It has gotten better since the weight is coming off but still can't put a lot of pressure on my knees or arms. I follow the diet pretty strict. My dr said after about 2 weeks I could start walking and a month before a little more but by a month I felt fine and could have done more.Since my thyroid being off some it stalled some but my RA dr also upped my prednisone which won't help the situation either. But 3 more lbs this week so I guess it's starting again.
  11. I had my surgery 10/24/13 and have lost 75lbs. I am hypothyroid since I had my son almost 12 yrs ago and noticed about a month and a half now my throat starting hurting so I had my levels checked and they were way low so now back to the endo. Yes they do change as you lose weight so have them check it more often. It had me at a stand still for losing weight now.
  12. I am 4 months post op and use NSAIDs everyday for my RA and have since week 2 post op. Guess it depends on the dr. I personally haven't had any issues with taking them.
  13. I am almost 4 months out and still have to use fiber sure or can't go. I use it everyday in my coffee and u can't taste it so no big deal.
  14. I know people who had this that use a straw. Me personally tried it and made me cramp from the extra air and haven't tried since. I was sleeved 10/24/2013
  15. Sleeved 10/24/13 HW-274 SW-265 CW-200 Went for my 3rd follow up visit today for my 3 1/2 month visit. Feeling great! Dr said I'm doing great and on the higher end of weight loss.

  17. No matter how little I eat I get hiccups every time I eat. And also doesn't matter how fast I eat either if I drink same thing. Sometimes I get them for no reason and I rarely had them before. Can be annoying at work and co-workers always comment about it. I am 14 weeks post op.
  18. Sleeved October 24th HW-274 SW-265 CW-202
  19. My hair also started falling out in clumps about 2 weeks ago almost exactly 3 months post op. I take daily multi vitamin and 10,000 biotin since day 3 of surgery. Not helping! Guess I'll go with the flow and hope I'm not bald by the time it's done.
  20. How many calories is everyone eating now? I'm still eating 5-600 calories a day.
  21. I have chewed gum since about 2 wks post op. At first(few days) it made me nauseous from the air but I'm 3 months out and chew it daily and nothing happens. My dr never said I couldn't have it. Neither did my NUT.
  22. Surgery date 10/24-12 wks ago HW-274 SW-265 CW-209 Can't wait til I hit onederland!!!
  23. When I go to a school function all the skinny people looking at me like I have a contagious disease. I draw blood for a living and not having my stomach touch their hand when I'm drawing their blood. Not sweating just walking. Thinking I'm ugly. Lost 64lbs since surgery so far and feel wonderful about myself again! Not being able to buy jeans that fit all over and not being baggy elsewhere.
  24. This pic is before and 8 weeks post op. HW-274 Sw-265 This pic -218
