I think I know the big difference between healthy, normal-sized people and obese people:
Healthy people get back on the horse.
    Obese people don't.
See that animal over there with a saddle on it? Yup, the horse.
    Whatcha gonna do now?

Well if there's an easy way to stay on track, I sure don't know what it is. It just seems to me to be a mental place we need to be, of being convinced that staying on track is the only option.

I had a bad two weeks of eating lot's of sweets and bad carbs. This week I am back on track. I am not eating any sweets, breads, Pasta, or rice. I have 6 more pounds until I am at goal so I figure I need to suck it up now. I've just been having a cup of tea when I feel like I want to eat something I shouldn't.
I work out everyday so I don't have much to improve on that part but you might make a goal of what workouts you will do this week and then make a reward if you hit it. I know it's hard to be good all the time so I just told myself I am going to be good for an entire week and look Wednesday is almost over

PinkBubble got a reaction from CrazyJaney in Hair loss
I am 7 months post op. I also HAD very thick hair but at about month 3 my hair was coming out by the handfuls. I read on here that this sometimes happens and usually between 3-9 months.
I was seriously afraid that I was going to have huge bald Patches but that has not happened. My Hair loss has slowed down quite a bit thank goodness. I am taking 4 Biotin a day, 2 in the morning and 2 at night as my nails are brittle and skin is overly dry.
I had my hair cut and colored yesterday and expressed my frustration to the stylist who assured me that my hair is indeed growing back in the form of thousands of baby hairs. (The little flyaway hairs that are less than an inch long and stick straight up). She had a hard time getting them all covered. We added a few more layers so they would blend and of course those little ones once they get to be a couple of inches long will add the illusion of volume, so, there is hope on the horizon. It does come back. Be patient, do what you can and keep your chin up. The weight loss is SO VERY WORTH IT. I would gladly wear a wig if it came to it in order to be healthy and hot again, LOL

PinkBubble got a reaction from ProudGrammy in Mothers! Words Say A Mouthful
Please keep in mind that it has become a habit for your mom to view you as fat and a target... IF that ever does change, it is definitely going to take a while. One thing that you can take with you though: for every negative snarky comment she makes, there are literally hundreds of us out here (me) who are clinging to your words with a renewed spark because your success has been so encouraging. Thanks

PinkBubble got a reaction from WeightNsee in 1 Weak Out - Dehydrated, Getting Hardly Any Protein And Starving
I am trying really hard to stay optimistic but am feeling like crap. I keep reading through the forums to keep my head up.
The Protein Drinks make me gag so I have to really really force them down, I am only getting about 20 grams of Protein a day. I have not been doing well with fluids either, I've been sticking at around 50 ounces per day: surprise.. I wake up dizzy, lightheaded and definitely dehydrated. I am doing well with drinking Powerade zero today so I am hopeful about that but I am starving... Ideas? I don't want to get sicker because that was never my goal, plus I am headed back to work on Monday which at this point feels scary.

Thank you laura-ven. I have not seen the Protein Soups online but I will definitely look for them. Problem I've noticed since surgery is I can't seem to get my Soup hot enough(I like it boiling hot for some reason) which causes issues with the 130 degrees protein breakdown limit. - I will work on this. Thanks for the uplifting words
Wowflower - hang in there sweetie, we will get through. Message me anytime you like.

PinkBubble reacted to drydzynski in Nausea and fluids right after surgery
You will meet your anesthesiologist before you go into surgery, make sure you tell them you get nauseas very easy. I did and she gave me a patch behind my ear before I went into surgery and she also said she would use everything she had back there to keep the nausea away and she did! I usually have nausea with pain meds too but I was given dilauded and didn't have any nausea with that.

Hopefully they already know but if not definitely let it known. They had me very well medicated. I came in with an ear patch from the night before and wore that 3 days. I took Emend, a very strong anti emetic usually reserved for those on chemo etc...3 hrs before surgery and again when I got Into pre op what was supposed to be 1 hour before survey and took 3 with hold ups. They kept Zofran going every 4-6 hours and I was sent home with Zofran and I haven't been nauseated once.

    Sorry about your reactions.
I was given liquid anti-nausea meds before they wheeled me into surgery. Was not the best tasting and then given more anti-nausea in my IV after surgery. Did not have a problem with nausea at all.
They did use a different pain med for me as the one they usually use as I had been given it before and had wierd hallucinations from it.
